親善試合欠場のエイブラハムら3選手、ベルギー戦に向けてチーム合流へ

新型コロナウイルス対策プロトコルを無視したとして、一時的にイングランド代表から離れていたチェルシーFWタミー・エイブラハムら3名が無事に呼び戻されたようだ。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。

今月初旬に自身の誕生日を祝うサプライズパーティーが開催されたエイブラハムは、政府が定めた対コロナプロトコルを破ったとして自ら謝罪。パーティーに参加していたDFベン・チルウェルとFWジェイドン・サンチョとともに、8日に行われたウェールズ代表との親善試合を欠場していた。

今後、UEFAネーションズリーグのリーグA・グループ2で11日にアウェイでベルギー代表戦、14日にホームでデンマーク代表戦が控える中、上記3選手は9日に予定されているトレーニングから復帰するようだ。ガレス・サウスゲイト監督からお咎めを受け、しっかり反省したのだろう。
一方でサウスゲイト監督は、復帰には医療プロトコルを満たす必要があるとし、検査結果を確認しなければならないとも話していた。

だが『スカイ・スポーツ』によれば、3選手とも陰性であったことが確認されており、無事に再合流に至るようだ。
なお、ウェールズ代表戦ではデビューを果たしたFWドミニク・キャルバート=ルーウィンの初ゴールなどの活躍で3-0で快勝している。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表が新ユニフォームを発表、赤ではなくなったアウェイは賛否分かれる「初めてじゃないか?」「そのチョイスはなしだ」

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」

「可愛い!」ペガサスに乗って宙を舞うイングランド代表FWサカの衝撃写真が話題沸騰「この男を愛さないわけにはいかない」
