バルセロナの下部組織出身で、現在はウォルバーハンプトンでプレーするアダマ・トラオレ。強靭な肉体と爆発的なスピードでプレミアリーグでも多くのクラブの脅威となり、今回のUEFAネーションズリーグに向けたスペイン代表に招集されていた。
デビューが期待されていたものの、スペイン代表合流前にイングランドで受けたPCR検査の結果、陽性が確認。そのため、ドイツ代表との試合に向けたスペイン代表チームへの合流を辞退していた。
しかし、再検査を受けたアダマ・トラオレは無事に陰性であることが確認。そのため、6日に行われるウクライナ代表との試合に向けマドリッドへ飛び、スペイン代表に合流することが決定していた。
一度は辞退を余儀なくされたアダマ・トラオレだったが、無事に合流が認められたものの、試合に向けたPCR検査でUEFAのプロトコルに抵触。感染リスクがないものの、IgG抗体(既に感染した人の血液中にみられる免疫物質)があり、スタジアムへの訪問が推奨されないため、代表を離脱することとなってしまった。

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

「まだ泣くの早いって」と本田圭佑にツッコまれた日本代表サポーター、元Jリーガーの親友だった「親友が世界的にバズってて最高」
