準決勝でドイツと対峙するが、準々決勝のコロンビア戦で警告をもらったDFチアゴ・シウバは累積警告のため出場停止。さらに、エースのFWネイマールも同試合で脊椎を骨折し欠場を余儀なくされていた。

勝利を求め続けた“鬼軍曹”ドゥンガ、チームに変革をもたらせたキャプテンシー

ネイマールが生後2カ月の娘と元交際相手と再会、破局後も父親として子育てに関わる
