招集外の原因はキャプテンマーク? ジャカがスイス代表のキャプテン辞任も検討

アーセナルに所属するスイス代表MFグラニト・ジャカが、キャプテンマークを返上するつもりのようだ。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が報じた。

アーセナルでキャプテンを務めるジャカは、スイス代表でもキャプテンを任されている。しかし、このことが1つの問題を引き起こしたとも考えられているようだ。

ユーロ2020予選に臨むスイス代表は、5日にアイルランド代表と、8日にジブラルタル代表と対戦する。

しかし、今回のメンバーにはリバプールのFWジェルダン・シャキリが招集外となっていた。

当初、シャキリが選外となった理由は、フィットネスの問題があったとされていた。今夏行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)の3位決定戦のイングランド代表戦で負傷。ふくらはぎを負傷したことが影響していると考えられていた。

しかし、ここに来て新たな疑惑が浮上。シャキリは、ウラジミール・ペトコビッチ監督がキャプテンマークをジャカに託したことに腹を立て、招集を断ったと報じられていた。

スイス代表のキャプテンは、これまでステファン・リヒトシュタイナーが務めていたものの、ロシア・ワールドカップ後はジャカがキャプテンに就任していた。

この件について、キャプテンマークを巻いてアイルランド代表戦を戦ったジャカがコメント。キャプテンマークの問題で招集されないのであれば、手放すことは問題ないと語った。

「キャプテンマークが本当に問題なのであれば、一緒に席につくことができる」

「僕たちはそのことについて話すのに、十分成長した。キャプテンについて本当に問題がある場合、彼はキャプテンマークを好むかもしれない。僕にとっては問題ないこと。僕は持っていても、それは関係ない」

「キャンプテンマークの有無に関わらず、全てをチームに捧げるよ」

スイスはUNLの関係もあり、ここまで3試合と消化試合が少ないながらも、1勝2分けと若干の出遅れ。巻き返しのためにシャキリの存在が必要であり、内部の問題であれば早急に解決したいところだろう。
