ヴィッセル神戸に所属する元ドイツ代表FWルーカス・ポドルスキ(34)が2020年の東京オリンピック出場に意欲を示した。ドイツ『Sport1』が報じた。

ポドルスキの後輩たちであるU-21ドイツ代表は今夏、イタリアとサン・マリノの共催で行われたU-21欧州選手権に参戦。惜しくも準優勝に終わったが、ベスト4進出国に与えられる東京オリンピックの出場権を獲得した。

現在、母国ドイツで真珠腫性中耳炎の手術を受け、静養が続いているポドルスキ。自身の後輩たちが出場権を掴み取った東京オリンピックについて次のように語り、オーバーエイジ枠の1人として出場を希望したという。

「オリンピックがやってくる日本は、僕がここ数年で大好きになり、感謝する国だ。疑いなんてないよ。僕にとって、(五輪出場となれば、)大きな名誉になる」

ドイツ代表として130試合のキャップ数を誇るポドルスキは東京オリンピック開幕時、35歳。シュテファン・クンツ監督は、今大会も前回大会に続いて3つのオーバーエイジ枠を使う可能性を排除しておらず、2017年夏から神戸でプレーするポドルスキを候補に含んでいるようだが、果たして…。

川崎Fの下部組織出身MF横田大祐がポドルスキ所属のグールニク・ザブジェに完全移籍加入…昨季はラトビア1部で優勝

W杯で日本と対戦するドイツ代表の呼称「ディー・マンシャフト」が廃止に…7月末に結論

カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、日本代表とも対戦するドイツ代表だが、その“愛称”について議論がなされている。 2014年のブラジルW杯では優勝を果たしているドイツ代表。チームの愛称として「Die Mannschaft(ディー・マンシャフト)」が採用されている。これはW杯制覇後の2015年にドイツ代表のマネージャーを務めるオリバー・ビアホフ氏が呼称として導入したもの。意味は「これがチームだ」というものだが、廃止の方向で話が進んでいる。ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長は、この呼称について終わる可能性があることを20日にコメント。7月末に結論を出すという。「終わりが来る。7月末に責任機関の会合が開かれ、決定が確実に下される。終わりのない話には興味がない」「今回の定性調査では、我々のイメージを固め、意見をまとめることができるはずだ。ただ、調査に依存することはない」この言葉の生みの親とも言われるビアホフ氏は「我慢すれば良い」と会長の決定を受け入れることを示唆。日本と対戦するときにはもう使われない愛称となっていそうだ。 2022.06.21 14:30 Tue

「これはどっちも買う」「素敵すぎ」ドイツ代表のW杯ユニが大好評!ホームは1908年をモチーフに
