たった1つのミスが失点に直結するゴールキーパー(GK)というポジション。当然ながらGKがゴールを決めることはほとんどなく、ストライカーやドリブラーに比べて目立ちにくい部分もある。しかし、裏を返せばセーブひとつでチームを救うこともできる、勝敗のカギを握るポジションとも言える。今回の企画『Unbelievable Saves』(信じられないセーブ)では、各クラブの守護神たちが見せた驚きのセーブを紹介していく。
今回はユベントスの元イタリア代表GKジャンルイジ・ブッフォンが見せたスーパーセーブだ。
パルマで若くして才能を開花させ、2001年からはユベントスで長年絶対的な守護神として世界最高峰のGKとしての座を確率させたブッフォン。御年42歳の超ベテランだが、2015年6月6日に行われたチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)、バルセロナとの決勝戦では、これぞベテランという超反応セーブを見せている。
FWリオネル・メッシとFWネイマールの連携で左サイドを崩されると、ボックス内に侵入したネイマールがフリーになっていたDFダニエウ・アウベスへマイナスのクロス。アウベスはニアポストへ強烈なシュートを放つと、味方2人の陰になりコースが見えない中で、ブッフォンはシュートとは反対方向へ移動。しかし、直前でジャンプして重心を無理やりニアポスト側に残すと、左手一本でアウベスのシュートを弾き、超反応のセーブで凌いでみせた。
瞬時の判断で重心を残すという好判断を見せたブッフォン。その後、ユベントスは後半に1点を返し1-1としたものの、2失点を喫し1-3で敗れている。

46歳ブッフォンがついに結婚! 2017年にプロポーズ、10年以上連れ添った女子アナと挙式…元チームメイトらゲストは250名以上に

ファン殺到…元イタリア代表GKブッフォン氏の17歳長男がU-18チェコ代表入り 練習試合でデビューも異例の注目度に困惑して集中できず?

ユーベ退団のキエッリーニ、堅守の“BBC”を振り返る「歴史の一部だった」
