昨年3月にヨハヒム・レーブ監督から構想外であることが伝えられて以降、ドイツ代表から遠ざかっているバイエルンのMFトーマス・ミュラーだが、現在でも復帰の可能性はほとんどゼロに近いようだ。ドイツ代表で通算100試合出場38ゴール36アシストの成績を持つミュラーだが、昨年3月に突如、レーヴ監督から構想外が宣告された。今夏に開催予定だったユーロ2020に向けて「今こそ、未来への新たな道を切り開く時だ」と指揮官が世代交代を目論んだためだ。
それから1年以上が経過し、今年9月に31歳の誕生日を迎えるミュラーは、今シーズンのブンデスリーガで29試合7ゴール18アシストとリーグ最多アシスト数を更新中。それでも、ドイツサッカー協会(DFB)のディレクターを務めるオリヴァー・ビアホフ氏は、レーブ政権下では復帰の可能性は極めて低いと、ドイツ『キッカー」の取材でコメントした。
「今季のミュラーは素晴らしい活躍をしている。レーブ監督も認めなければならないだろう」
なお、ミュラー同様にDFマッツ・フンメルス、DFジェローム・ボアテングの2人も今後招集されないことになっている。

W杯で日本と対戦するドイツ代表の呼称「ディー・マンシャフト」が廃止に…7月末に結論
カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、日本代表とも対戦するドイツ代表だが、その“愛称”について議論がなされている。 2014年のブラジルW杯では優勝を果たしているドイツ代表。チームの愛称として「Die Mannschaft(ディー・マンシャフト)」が採用されている。 これはW杯制覇後の2015年にドイツ代表のマネージャーを務めるオリバー・ビアホフ氏が呼称として導入したもの。意味は「これがチームだ」というものだが、廃止の方向で話が進んでいる。 ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長は、この呼称について終わる可能性があることを20日にコメント。7月末に結論を出すという。 「終わりが来る。7月末に責任機関の会合が開かれ、決定が確実に下される。終わりのない話には興味がない」 「今回の定性調査では、我々のイメージを固め、意見をまとめることができるはずだ。ただ、調査に依存することはない」 この言葉の生みの親とも言われるビアホフ氏は「我慢すれば良い」と会長の決定を受け入れることを示唆。日本と対戦するときにはもう使われない愛称となっていそうだ。 2022.06.21 14:30 Tue

ドイツ代表に激震、77年続いたアディダスとの契約終了…2027年からはナイキに
