カナダ代表の新指揮官候補に挙がっていたフランク・ランパード氏(45)だが、辞退することにしたという。
引退後はすぐに指導者の道を歩んだこともあり、ほとんど家族と過ごす時間がなかったランパード氏は、「再び仕事をしたいと思っているが、家族との生活を今は楽しんでいる」と語っており、現場復帰を慎重に考えていることをかつて語っていた。
現役時代はウェストハム、スウォンジー、チェルシー、ニューヨーク・シティ、マンチェスター・シティでプレー。引退後はダービー・カウンティで監督キャリアをスタートさせると、チェルシーやエバートンでも指揮を執った。
「私は仕事だ大好きだ。現代ではその厳しさもわかる。これまで一緒に仕事をしてきたクラブはどこも楽しかった」

イギリス『テレグラフ』がカナダ代表の指揮官候補にランパード氏が浮上していると報道。カナダ代表は2026年に自国で開催されるワールドカップ(W杯)に向けてチームを強化しているが、現在は正式な監督が決まっていない状況だった。その中で候補に挙がっており、交渉を行ったというランパード氏だが、『テレグラフ』によればカナダ代表を指揮することは、現場復帰の適切な機会ではないと判断したという。現役時代はウェストハム、スウォンジー、チェルシー、ニューヨーク・シティ、マンチェスター・シティでプレー。引退後はダービー・カウンティで監督キャリアをスタートさせると、チェルシーやエバートンでも指揮を執った。

ランパード監督に3人目の娘が誕生! 現在の妻とは1人目

交際5年目の美人彼女が途中出場!A・デイビスもカナダ女子代表を祝福

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!
