カナダ代表の新指揮官候補に挙がっていたフランク・ランパード氏(45)だが、辞退することにしたという。
イギリス『テレグラフ』がカナダ代表の指揮官候補にランパード氏が浮上していると報道。カナダ代表は2026年に自国で開催されるワールドカップ(W杯)に向けてチームを強化しているが、現在は正式な監督が決まっていない状況だった。
その中で候補に挙がっており、交渉を行ったというランパード氏だが、『テレグラフ』によればカナダ代表を指揮することは、現場復帰の適切な機会ではないと判断したという。
引退後はすぐに指導者の道を歩んだこともあり、ほとんど家族と過ごす時間がなかったランパード氏は、「再び仕事をしたいと思っているが、家族との生活を今は楽しんでいる」と語っており、現場復帰を慎重に考えていることをかつて語っていた。
現役時代はウェストハム、スウォンジー、チェルシー、ニューヨーク・シティ、マンチェスター・シティでプレー。引退後はダービー・カウンティで監督キャリアをスタートさせると、チェルシーやエバートンでも指揮を執った。

「もっと黒人の指導者に平等なチャンスを」、スターリングがイングランドフットボール界に提言
マンチェスター・シティのイングランド代表FWラヒーム・スターリングは、イングランドフットボール界にBAMEの選手、監督に対する平等なチャンスを求めている。 アメリカで起きた白人警官によるジョージ・フロイドさんの暴行死を発端に、現在世界中で人種差別撲滅を目的とした抗議デモが広がっている。 自身もジャマイカ出身のBAME(Black, Asian and Minority Ethnicの略で少数派を表す言葉)の選手で、かねてから人種差別に対する訴えを主張してきたスターリングは、イギリス『BBC』の番組内でイングランドフットボール界における人種差別の問題について言及。 フットボール界が差別のない新たなステージに進むためには、BAMEの監督やコーチングスタッフを積極的に登用することが必要だと考えている。 さらに、レンジャーズを率いるスティーブン・ジェラード氏、チェルシーを率いるフランク・ランパード氏の2人、イングランド下部リーグの2チームを指揮したソル・キャンベル氏、チェルシーのU-15チームのコーチングスタッフを務めるアシュリー・コール氏の2人、というイングランド代表のレジェンドを引き合いに出し、BAMEの元選手に平等なチャンスが与えられるべきだと主張している。 「彼ら全員がイングランド代表でプレーし、素晴らしいキャリアを積んできた」 「同様に、彼らは最高レベルのカテゴリーを指導するために必要なライセンスを持っている。だけど、適切な機会を与えられていない2人は黒人の元選手だ」 また、スターリングは監督だけでなく、イングランドフットボール界にBAMEのスタッフが少ないと感じている。 「黒人の監督だけではなく、それぞれの分野で適切な機会が与えられるべきだ。それはここで足りないものだと感じているよ。抗議のためにひざまずくだけでなく、多くの人たちに平等にチャンスが与えられることが重要なんだ」 「プレミアリーグには500人の選手がいて、そのうちの3分の1は黒人選手だ。だけど、ヒエラルキーにおいて僕たちを代表するようなリーダーはいない。それはコーチングスタッフも同様だ。僕たちが共感し、会話を交わすことができる顔役はほとんどいない」 イングランドサッカー協会(FA)は2018年、フットボール界の平等化計画において、イングランド全体のBAME出身者が占める指導者の割合が5%、コーチングスタッフが13%と発表。そして、2021年の目標数値をそれぞれ11%と、20%に設定している。 「FAに黒人のバックグラウンドがある人がいれば、クラブ内で問題が発生したときに相談に行くことができる。それは僕たちのフィールドだけでなく、議会でも変化が起きていることを意味することになる」 「こういった数字が良い形で変化していけば、僕を含め多くの人が幸せになれるはずさ」 2020.06.10 20:42 Wed

1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。 「意味が分からない」カナダ代表の新ユニフォームはナイキのロゴが目立ちすぎ?他国と異なる仕様に「本当にがっかり」「冗談だろ?」

交際5年目の美人彼女が途中出場!A・デイビスもカナダ女子代表を祝福

カナダ、アメリカやメキシコに先んじて本大会行きの切符を掴む! 36年ぶり2度目《カタールW杯北中米カリブ海予選》

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!
