欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)がイングランド代表MFジュード・ベリンガムのジェスチャーを巡って調査に乗り出しているようだ。イギリス『BBC』が報じた。

先のユーロ2024ラウンド16・スロバキア代表戦では0-1の後半アディショナルタイムに起死回生のオーバーヘッド弾のベリンガム。その後のイングランドは延長前半にハリー・ケインの逆転弾で逆転し、8強入りした。

ベリンガムはこの奇跡的な勝ち上がりのまさに立役者だが、ゴールを決めると、スロバキアのベンチに向かって股間を掴むようなジェスチャー。それが品行方正の基本ルールに反しうるとし、UEFAが動いたという。

ベリンガムは自身のSNSで親しい友人に向けた内輪のジョークと釈明し、スロバキアを煽ったわけではないと主張しているが、UEFAがルール違反とみなせば、出場停止か、罰金、あるいはその両方が科される恐れがある模様だ。

ちなみに、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)ではユベントス時代のクリスティアーノ・ロナウドや、アトレティコ・マドリーのディエゴ・シメオネ監督が同じように品位を欠く行為で咎められたが、いずれも罰金処分で済んでいる。

ブリッジは“不倫男”テリーを未だに許さず? 自身の近くに引っ越し発覚後、自宅を売却に出す

「可愛い!」ペガサスに乗って宙を舞うイングランド代表FWサカの衝撃写真が話題沸騰「この男を愛さないわけにはいかない」
