ボーウェンは3日に行われた国際親善試合のボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナ代表戦で先発。試合は前半こそゴールレスに終わったが、後半コール・パーマーのPKで先制すると、終盤にはトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルド、ハリー・ケインのゴールで突き放しに成功し、3-0で勝利した。
