15日、2023-24UEFA女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)ラウンド2の組み合わせ抽選が、スイスのニヨンで行われた。
ラウンド2は、ラウンド1を勝ち抜いた15チームにシードの9チームを加えた24チームがチャンピオンパスルートとリーグパスルートに分かれて組み合わせを行い、2チームによるホーム&アウェイ方式で争われる。
昨シーズンUWCL初出場ながらグループステージ突破の検討を見せた、なでしこジャパンの南萌華と熊谷紗希を擁するイタリアチャンピオンのローマは、ウクライナのヴォルスクラと対戦する。
また、東洋大学から門脇真依を獲得したローゼンゴード(スウェーデン)はセルビアのスパルタク・スボティツァと、昨季準優勝のヴォルフスブルクはアーセナルを下したパリFCと顔を合わせる。

なでしこジャパン高倉麻子監督が5年間で蒔いた種、開いた強豪国との差
8月27日、日本サッカー協会(JFA)は高倉麻子監督が任期満了に伴い、退任すると発表した。2016年から5年間に渡って指揮を執った日本女子サッカーの先駆者は、いったん身を引くことになる。 高倉体制となった5年間を振り返えると、強豪相手には勝てないというジレンマに常に悩まされてきた印象だ。日本の強みであったパスワークは各国でも取り入れられ、加えて戦術に優れるコーチ陣を擁する欧州勢には水をあけられた。 その一方で、若手を積極的に招集し、世代交代や人材の発掘という面では一定の成果を残したと言える。欲を言えば、大きな大会の中でも新戦力に経験を積ませる積極性が欲しかった。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆2016年:途絶えた五輪出場から引き継いだバトン</span> 2016年2月のリオ・デ・ジャネイロ・オリンピック予選で敗退したなでしこジャパン。立て直しを図るべく白羽の矢が立ったのは、2014年のU-17女子ワールドカップ(W杯)コスタリカでリトルなでしこを優勝に導いた高倉監督だった。当時の優勝メンバーには現在なでしこジャパンで活躍する、長谷川唯、杉田妃和、宮川麻都、南萌華らが在籍。高倉監督は4月から新指揮官へと就任した。 高倉監督はなでしこジャパンのこれまでの中心メンバーに、少しずつ自分の色を加えるところからスタート。アメリカ遠征での2連戦から始まった活動には、それまで指揮を執っていたU-23から佐々木繭や高木ひかりらを抜擢。既存戦力に自らが手塩にかけた若手を加え、プラスアルファと世代交代に着手しようとした。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆2017～2018年:若手中心に多くの選手にチャンスを</span> 高倉体制初の国際大会となった2017年のアルガルヴェ・カップでは、長谷川唯や籾木結花をA代表デビューさせた。この年はその後の女子ユーロ2017を制するオランダ女子代表とも1勝1敗。櫨まどかや上野真実、大矢歩を招集するなど、なでしこリーグ2部へも目を光らせ、順調にチームは成長を遂げていた。 周囲の雑念が生まれたのはEAFF 女子E-1サッカー選手権だろうか。勝てば優勝が決まる最終節の北朝鮮女子代表戦ではまさかの完敗。最終ラインからのビルドアップやフィニッシュに至るまでのアイデアといった課題が浮き彫りになった。 2018年のアルガルヴェ・カップでも強豪相手には勝たせてもらえず、欧州女王となったオランダには2-6と歴史的な敗退を喫した。ただ、2019年のフランス女子W杯の出場権を懸けた4月のAFC女子アジアカップではオーストラリア女子代表に苦戦しながらも優勝し、チーム発足後初のタイトルを獲得。さらに8月のアジア競技大会でも優勝をさらい、アジアの中では結果を出し続けた。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆2019～2021年:世代は変わったが課題は克服し切れず</span> 欧米勢との対戦ではスピードやフィジカルで劣り、主導権を握れずに勝ち切れないという課題を抱えたまま臨んだ2019年のフランス女子W杯。高倉ジャパンの中心であった阪口夢穂が負傷明けながら実戦経験のないまま帯同されたことが波紋を呼ぶ。結果的にほかにも負傷者が相次ぎ、予選は1勝1分け1敗と辛うじて突破したものの、ベスト16でオランダに惜敗してフランスを後にした。 この頃から、ヨーロッパ勢がフィジカルベースだけでなく、ポゼッションの技術や戦術的な戦い方を身に付けて進化していった一方で、なでしこジャパンの持ち味であったパスワークがもはや日本だけの特権ではないと、周囲にも認知され始めた。 国内での親善試合やアジアでの戦いでは、そういった課題に砂をまぶしながら勝利を手にすることができた。同年のEAFF 女子E-1サッカー選手権では全勝で優勝し、アジア3冠を手にするも、翌2020年3月のShe Believes Cupではスペイン女子代表、イングランド女子代表、アメリカ女子代表に3連敗。さらには、新型コロナウイルスが猛威を振るい、国際試合が組めないという事態もマイナスに働いてしまった。 一方で、なでしこチャレンジと称してトレーニングキャンプを実施し、なでしこジャパンへの門戸を広げもした。林穂之香や北村菜々美らは、育成年代での活躍からなでしこチャレンジを経てA代表へ入っている。 そして迎えた2021年。親善試合では大勝を収めるも、東京オリンピック本番ではグループステージから苦しみ、決勝トーナメントではスウェーデン女子代表に敗れてベスト8止まり。戦前の予想を覆すことはできず、戦術性や応用力を欠いたまま自国大会を終えることになった。 なでしこジャパンが抱えている課題は明確だ。戦術面における先進国との開きは明らかで、もはや精神論では片づけられない。今後はフィジカルや技術、粘り強さだけを語るだけなく、頭の中を整理しながら戦えるようなチーム作りが必要となってくるだろう。 種はすでに蒔かれ、芽吹き始めてもいる。スウェーデン戦後に長谷川は「ヨーロッパのサッカーが変化している中で、理論的に立ち位置なども理解しながら、もっと突き詰めないといけない」と語った。その長谷川は今シーズンからイングランドのウェストハムでプレーする。世界トップの戦術を肌で吸収するまたとない機会だ。 若くしてすでに海外でのプレーを選択している林や宝田沙織も、ここからさらに伸びるだろう。同じように早くして海を渡った先輩、岩渕真奈や熊谷紗希のように、なでしこの主軸へと進化できるかだ。 さらに、9月からはWEリーグも開幕する。高倉監督が裾野を広げたこともあり、代表入りを現実的な目標にできる環境も整いつつある。日の丸を経験した選手たちが個や組織でのプレー基準を上げていけば、国内サッカー全体のレベルアップ、ひいてはなでしこジャパンの復権に繋がっていくだろう。 《超ワールドサッカー編集部・江原正和》 2021.08.30 20:00 Mon

「これはカッコいい」「選手が着るとヤバい」ローマの新ユニフォームのダークレッドとゴールドは「美しい色合い」と好評、ディバラのモデル姿にも絶賛の声

W杯メンバー選出の清水梨紗と南萌華が新スパイクイベントで意気込み、4度W杯経験の長友佑都がエール「頼もしいですし、期待しています」
ナイキは13日、女性の意見を多く取り入れた新スパイク「ファントム ルナ」を発表した。 都内では「ファントム ルナ」の発表イベントが行われ、なでしこジャパンの清水梨紗(ウェストハム)、南萌華(ローマ)、そして日本代表の長友佑都(FC東京)が参加。MCを務めた勝村政信さんと共にトークショーを行った。 この日は、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)のメンバー発表が行われ、清水と南は共にメンバーに選ばれた。 率直にメンバーに選ばれたことについて清水は「素直にW杯のメンバーに選ばれて凄く嬉しいです。選ばれたからには優勝を目指してチーム全員で頑張っていきたいので、よろしくお願いします」とコメント。南は「サッカーをやっていたら、誰もが出たい大会だと思いますし、W杯に選出してもらえて嬉しいです。昨年からプレーの場を海外に移したの、その成果を代表で見せられればと思います」と意気込みを語った。 昨年のカタールW杯に出場し、4大会連続で世界と戦った長友は「本当におめでとうございます」と2人を祝福。「W杯で世界一を目指せるということは頼もしいですし、期待しています」とエールを送った。 海外でのプレーする清水は日本との決定的な違いについて「スピードやフィジカルは日本のリーグでは体験できないことが今自分は体験できていると思います」とコメント。南は「スピードやフィジカルはもちろんですし、DFの選手として海外の選手のシュートレンジは違いを感じました」と語った。 世界を知った上で臨むW杯。期待することについて清水は「私は男子のW杯を見て勇気をもらいましたし、自分もW杯で勝利を掴みたいと思いました。女子サッカーの未来を背負って、1人でも多くサッカーを始めてくれる子が増えたらいいなと思うので、結果にこだわりたいです」と語った。 南は「私も男子のW杯を見て、改めてサッカーの良さだったり、凄いなと感じたので、たくさんの方に思ってもらうこともそうですし、毎試合女子サッカーを盛り上げようとプレーしていますが、W杯という大きな舞台なので、女子サッカーを見ていただける良い機会なので、もう一度女子サッカーを応援してもらえるようにチームとして頑張りたいです」と意気込んだ。 2011年、なでしこジャパンはW杯で優勝し見事世界女王に。日本は同年に東日本大震災が発生し、暗い影を落とした中での明るい話題となった。長友は当時を振り返り「凄かったですね。W杯の影響力は凄まじいと感じましたし、実際に男子の昨年のW杯の後、家の近くを散歩していたら3歳ぐらいの子がいたんですが『ブラボー!』って言われて、3歳の子たちも見てくれているんだと嬉しくなりました」とコメント。なでしこジャパンも結果を残して欲しいと期待を寄せた。 女性の意見を取り入れた「ファントム ルナ」。清水は実際に着用したとのことで「長い期間履いたことはないですが、最初に履いた時にくるぶしまであることが良いなと思いました」とコメント。「プレーしていても、足の裏がズレていない感じがして、凄くフィットしているのかなと感じました」とコメント。普段は「ティエンポ」を履いており、フィット感を大事にする清水にとっても履きやすいスパイクだったようだ。 また、こういったナイキの取り組みについて清水は「色々な意見を取り入れてもらって、女性に合ったスパイクを作ってもらえるのは凄く嬉しいですし、着用してそれを感じているので、凄く大切にしたいスパイクです」とコメント。まだ着用はしていないものの南は「なかなか女性の意見を取り入れてスパイクを作ることは今までもなかったんじゃないかなと思います。本当に素晴らしいスパイクができたのかなと思います」とコメント。「今はケガも多く、こういったスパイクで予防につながるんじゃないかなという気もします。良い方向に向かっていると思うので、私も履いてみたいです」とコメントした。 2023.06.13 21:50 Tue

ラッシュフォードに大英帝国勲章が授与! コロナ禍に貧困家庭を支援
