プレミアリーグ終盤でトップ4滑り込みを目指す6位のユナイテッドは4日の第31節で11位のチェルシーとアウェイで対戦。前半のうちに0-2から追いつき、67分にこの日2ゴール目のアレハンドロ・ガルナチョ弾で勝ち越したが、90+10分と90+11分の連続失点で3-4の敗北を喫した。
前節のブレントフォード戦でも1-0の90+9分に同点弾を浴び、逃げ切りに失敗したばかりだが、今回は逆転負けで勝ち点すら掴めず。エリク・テン・ハグ監督はイギリス『BBC』でこう振り返っている。
「中立から見れば、素晴らしい試合だったことだろう。クオリティを伴ったファンタスティックなフットボールの試合だった」

ロナウド崇拝ガルナチョはアルゼンチン代表で浮いている? 先輩パレデスが証言

小さなユナイテッドファンにメイヌーがサプライズ! 突然の本人登場に開いた口が塞がらず

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす
