スペインの神童MFガビ、W杯における初ゴールはペレらに次ぐ史上3番目の若さに

バルセロナのスペイン代表MFガビがワールドカップの歴史に名を刻んだ。

スペインは23日にカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループE第1節でコスタリカと対戦。試合は下馬評通り立ち上がりからスペインがゲームを支配。11分にダニ・オルモのゴールで先制すると、21分にマルコ・アセンシオ、31分にフェラン・トーレスがゴールネットを揺らした。

その後は5バックに変更したコスタリカを崩しきれない時間が続いたが、54分にフェラン・トーレスがこの試合2点目を奪うと、再びゴールラッシュが始まる。74分にアルバロ・モラタの左クロスをガビが流し込むと、90分にカルロス・ソレール、92分にモラタがゴールを決め、スペインが7-0で圧勝。4大会ぶりの初戦白星を飾った。

圧勝を飾ったこの一戦でスポットライトが当たっているがガビだ。ベティスからバルセロナのカンテラに加入した同選手は、昨年8月末のヘタフェ戦でトップチームデビュー。18歳ながらここまで公式戦66試合に出場し、2ゴール7アシストを記録。また、同年10月には85年ぶりの更新となる史上最年少でのスペイン代表デビューも果たしていた。

そして今回、18歳110日でW杯初得点を記録したガビだが、『Opta』によると、同大会においては史上3番目の若さでの初ゴールになったという。

現在の最年少記録は、1958年に開催されたスウェーデン大会で、当時ブラジル代表として戦った“サッカーの神様”ペレ氏が準々決勝のウェールズ代表戦で決めたゴール(17歳239日)で、2番目が1930年のウルグアイ大会で当時メキシコ代表としてプレーしたFWマヌエル・ロサス(18歳93日)となっている。

バルセロナに朗報! ガビのラ・リーガ登録承認で残留確実に

バルセロナに所属するスペイン代表MFガビのラ・リーガでのファーストチーム登録が認められた。 2021年8月にトップチームデビューを飾り、以降はバルセロナとスペイン代表の中心選手として活躍するガビ。これまでクラブの財政問題によってBチーム登録となっていた同選手は、今年1月にファーストチーム登録をラ・リーガに拒否されるも、バルセロナの裁判所が予防措置として一時的に登録を認めるように指示。その結果、チャビ・エルナンデス監督が現役時代に背負っていた背番号「6」を引き継ぎ、ファーストチームに登録された。しかし、最終的には書類の不備などがあり、3月にこの登録が白紙に。Bチームの選手としての登録に切り替わると、Bチーム登録の選手が付けられない「6」も剥奪されることとなった。しかし、前述の裁判の控訴審での勝利、ラ・リーガからも今後の財政計画が承認されたことにより、ファーストチームへの登録が認められた。ガビに関しては契約条項により、ファーストチームへの登録が認められなければ、2026年までの契約が無効となる可能性があったが、今回の登録によって今後もバルセロナでのキャリア継続が決定的となった。なお、バルセロナではガビ同様に、DFロナルド・アラウホ、DFマルコス・アロンソ、DFセルジ・ロベルト、GKイニャキ・ペーニャらを登録する必要がある。現時点でラ・リーガのサラリーキャップの問題をクリアできているかは不明だが、クラブは全選手の登録を楽観視しているようだ。 2023.06.21 01:16 Wed
