スイス代表MFグラニト・ジャカは、29日に行われるカタールW杯グループG第2戦のブラジル代表戦へ向けて大会前から闘志を燃やしていたようだ。

スイス代表のキャプテンとしてカタールW杯に参戦中のジャカ。24日に行われた初戦のカメルーン代表戦ではフル出場し、1-0の勝利に貢献している。

この結果、第2戦のブラジル代表戦で勝利すれば決勝トーナメント進出が決まる可能性も。大会前のイギリス『サン』のインタビューでは、所属するアーセナルの同僚であるブラジル代表2選手、ガブリエウ・ジェズスとガブリエウ・マルティネッリの名前を挙げ、この一戦への闘志を燃やしていた。
「(2人とは)普段は冗談を言い合う仲さ。W杯の対戦相手にチームメイトがいるのは本当に素晴らしいこと。だけど、お互いにプロフェッショナルなわけだから、真剣に90分間向き合わないといけないね」

「2人には『もしスイスのGKからゴールを奪おうものなら、僕が君たちを粉砕する』と宣言したよ(笑) お互いに自分の国のために戦い、勝ちたいと強く願っている」
冗談まじりのやりとりを明かした一方、初戦のカメルーン以上に警戒すべき相手だとの認識も失っていないようだ。

「カメルーンよりブラジルの方を注意すべきなのは明白だ。ブラジル相手にボールロストすることは失点に直結し、大きな代償を払うこととなる。彼らはとてつもないクオリティを持つ集団だからね」

アーセナルのスイス代表MFグラニト・ジャカが、ファンとの関係について言及した。 2016年7月にボルシアMGからアーセナルへと加入したジャカ。左足のキックとハードなプレーを特徴に、アーセナルでは公式戦242試合に出場し13ゴール22アシストを記録している。 アーセナルで6シーズン目を迎えているジャカはケガなどの問題もあり今シーズンはプレミアリーグで19試合の出場に終わっている状況だが、かつてはキャプテンを務めるなど、その熱いプレーでチームを支えて来ている。 アーセナル加入後は、アーセン・ヴェンゲル、ウナイ・エメリ、フレドリク・ユングベリ、ミケル・アルテタと4人の指揮官の下でプレーし、いずれも重宝されていた。 そんな中、問題が起きたのは2019年10月27日に行われたクリスタル・パレス戦。2-0でリードしていたアーセナルだったが、クリスタル・パレスに追いつかれてしまう。 その状況で、エメリ監督はジャカを下げる決断をした。しかし、その際にジャカはゆっくりと歩いてピッチを後に。その行為にスタンドのファンからブーイングが浴びせられると、さらにジャカはブーイングを煽るようなポーズを取り、しまいにはユニフォームを脱いでキャプテンマークを投げ捨て、ベンチではなくロッカーへと消えていったのだ。 この行為をキッカケに、アーセナルファンはジャカを糾弾。キャプテンとしての態度の悪さを訴えていた。 ジャカは改めて当時のことを振り返り、ブーイングをキッカケにアーセナルを辞めようと心に決めたと『The Players Tribune』で明かした。 「僕のバッグには荷物が詰め込まれていた。パスポートは出ていた。アーセナルとは決着がついていた。終わっていたんだ」 「別のクラブからの契約がテーブルにあり、僕がすべきことはサインだけだった。妻のレオニータとも話をして、僕たちは去ることを決めたんだ」 「ミケル(・アルテタ)に別れを告げるつもりだったし、飛行機に乗り込んだ」 2020年1月にアーセナルから退団することを決めたジャカだったが、アルテタ監督の説得により残留を決断。現在もアーセナルでプレーしている。 しかし、クリスタル・パレス戦で起きたことは心底ショックだったという。 「まず、僕がアーセナルを愛していることを明確にしたいと思う。僕はいつもそうだったし、僕は今でもそうだ。僕は去る日までこのクラブのためにすべてを捧げる。また、僕を嫌う人がいることも知っている。これはサッカーの一部であり、それを理解している」 「でも、その日、クリスタル・パレスと対戦すると、事態は一線を越えた。僕たちは2-0だったけど、彼らが2-2に追いついていた」 「ブーイングを聞いた時、僕はやっと動き始めたところだった。しかも、コーナーにいた数人ではなく、大勢の人たちだった。僕はショックを受けた。そんなことは初めてだった」 「トンネルに近づき、そこに座っているファンを見上げた。これはいつでも覚えている光景だ。今目を閉じても、まだ彼らの顔が目に浮かぶ。彼らの怒りが見える」 「彼らが僕を嫌いだということではないんだ。これは憎しみだ。純粋なね。本当に誇張しているわけではない」 自身の態度もブーイングを増大させてしまった要因ではあり、そのことは認識しているものの、心に傷を負ったジャカは今でもそのことを思い出すようだ。 「僕はアーセナルのキャプテンだった。でも人間でもある。だから、1人の人間として反応し、傷ついてしまった」 「耳に手を当て、ピッチを出たらシャツを地面に投げつけてトンネルに入っていった。僕がしていたことは間違っていたかって?そうだろう。でも、もし明日同じことが起こったら違うことをするだろうか。正直、それはわからない」 「正直でいなければならない。僕は感情的な男だ。そのレベルの憎しみと軽蔑を感じることは、自分の敵にはしたくない。今でも、もし負けたとしたら、トンネルまでの最後の1メートルを歩くのが嫌になる。あの時と同じ人たちが座っているのです」 「だから今は、ただひたすら頭を下げている。僕は一度その悪夢を経験した。もう2度と経験したくない」 悪夢のクリスタル・パレス戦となったジャカだが、翌日にクラブの幹部と契約について話すこととなっており、代理人と家族が試合を観戦していたと言う。そして、家までの道中は、誰一人言葉を交わさず、家まで帰ったという。 そのジャカだが、サポーターの不満も理解しているという。よく声が上がるのは余りにも多い退場について。アーセナル加入後、一発退場は5回を記録している。 カードをもらってしまうことを糾弾されることも多いジャカだが、それは自分のサッカーの一部だと語った。 「僕たちが負けている時、みんなが僕について何を言っているかを理解している。僕たちが良いプレーを見せている時には誰も何も言わない。みんながどう思うかは知っている」 「僕は聞いたことは忘れないよ『彼はあまりにも多くのカードをもらっている。僕たちの試合を殺している』とね」 「聞いてもらいたいのは、カードは常に僕の試合の一部だ。それはドイツ時代もそうだった。50-50を覚えている?トレーニングでも同じだ。選手にヒジが当たったら、真っ先に『ごめん』と言うよ」 「タックルは?これはバレエではないんだ」 難しい時期を過ごしたジャカだが、チームのためにコミットしていることは誰もが知るところ。ピッチ上での活躍はチームに欠かせない。 ジャカもチームにコミットすることは変わらないとしているが、ファン・サポーターとの関係は昔のように戻ることはもうないと語った。 「割れたガラスのようなものだ。それを繋ぎ合わせることができる。でも、亀裂は常にそこにある」 「僕たちはより良い関係を築きたい。互いをよく理解して欲しい」 「僕たちは決して親友にはなれないことを理解しているけど、お互いに正直で敬意を持って接することを願っている。僕がピッチで何をするにしても、それは正しい場所から来ているものだと理解して欲しい」 「もちろん、90分間、僕はアーセナルのMFであるグラニト・ジャカだ。しかし、残りの日は、妻と2人の子供と一緒にロンドンに住んでいるスイス人なんだ」 2022.04.14 20:15 Thu

超豪華! W杯でも共演したブラジルのレジェンド4人がスタンドに勢揃い、その後ろの人物にも注目集まる

遂にビッグクラブへ? 34歳GKゾマーにインテルが関心、バイエルン行きの噂も

ボルシアMGのスイス代表GKヤン・ゾマー(34)に、インテルが関心を寄せているようだ。 ボルシアMGとスイス代表の両方で絶対的な守護神に君臨するゾマー。身長183cmとかなり小柄なGKに分類されるが、能力に疑いの余地はなく、先のカタール・ワールドカップでも優れたシュートストップを披露した。 クラブキャリアでは母国の名門バーゼルで名を馳せたのち、自身初の海外移籍として2014年夏からボルシアMGに在籍。これまでビッグクラブ歴はないが、遂にその時が近づいているのかもしれない。 イタリア『カルチョメルカート』によると、インテルが来夏のゾマー獲得を検討。同選手は2023年6月で契約満了を迎える予定で、来夏にはフリーに。そのため、年明け以降は他クラブとの交渉が可能となる。 インテルはアンドレ・オナナとサミル・ハンダノビッチという実力者2人がGKの定位置を争うも、主将を務める38歳の後者は来夏で契約満了予定で、現役引退との観測も。オナナとしのぎを削るライバルとしてゾマーに注目しているとされる。 なお、ゾマーは来年1月に移籍の可能性も。マヌエル・ノイアーが長期離脱するバイエルンと、ダビド・デ・ヘアに代わるGKを探すマンチェスター・ユナイテッドが触手を伸ばしているとも伝えられている。 2022.12.20 20:10 Tue
