アーセナルのイングランド女子代表FWベス・ミードのキックに賛辞が相次いでいる。

ミードはイングランド代表として母国での女子欧州選手権(女子ユーロ)臨み、初優勝に貢献。6得点5アシストで得点王にも輝いた。

女子バロンドール2022の筆頭ともされ、推す声も多数上がっていたが、惜しくもバルセロナのスペイン女子代表MFアレクシア・プテジャスに次ぐ2位であった。

17日にパリでの授賞式に出席したアタッカーは、その足でリヨンへ移動した。19日に行われたUEFA女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)グループC第1節で、ディフェンディングチャンピオンとの一戦に先発出場。2-1と、アーセナルのリードで迎えた前半のアディショナルタイムに見事な一撃を沈めて見せた。

ペナルティアーク左寄りに掛かるような位置でFKを得ると、短い助走から意表を突いた低弾道のシュートを選択。強烈なライナーは同じくバロンドール候補の名手、GKクリスティアネ・エンドレルの手を弾いてネットを揺らした。

実力を示す見事な一発には、ファンからも「明らかにバロンドールに値する」、「彼女に相応しいバロンドールを与えてあげてください」、「まじでこのレベル…」、「私の女王を見て!」などの声が寄せられている。

また、「来年のバロンドールに向けて履歴書をまとめる」、「バロンドール2023!!」と、来季の受賞を心待ちにする気の早いファンも。期待に応えるように、ミードは69分にもこの日2点目を奪う素晴らしい活躍を見せた。

アーセナルは敵地で前回覇者を5-1と粉砕。リーグ戦無敗の勢いを、UWCLにもつなげている。なお、なでしこジャパンのFW岩渕真奈はベンチ入りを果たすも、出番なしに終わっている。

ダフト・パンク再結成? バロンドールのトロフィーを届けた黒いヘルメット2人組の正体は…

48歳シメオネ監督、5人目の子宝に恵まれる

アーセナルを去ったエドゥ氏は不和ではない…フォレストのCEOの可能性も!? より責任ある役職でオファーか

アーセナルのスポーツディレクター(SD)を辞任したエドゥ氏。大きなステップアップが待っている可能性があるようだ。 4日、アーセナルはエドゥSDの辞任を発表。クラブOBが役職者として復帰してから5年、チームの復活に大きく貢献してきた中での辞任は大きな驚きを与えた。エドゥ氏は2019年7月にテクニカルディレクター(TD)としてチームに復帰。2022年11月にSDに昇進し、男子のみならず、女子やアカデミーもマネジメントしていた。ミケル・アルテタ監督と共に二人三脚で低迷していたチームを立て直すことに。アルテタ監督就任にも尽力すると、積極的な補強で現在のチームを構成する選手を連れてきた。キャプテンを務めるマルティン・ウーデゴールやでクラン・ライス、ベン・ホワイト、ガブリエウ・マガリャンイス、ガブリエウ・ジェズスとチーム構成が変化。一方で、メスト・エジルやピエール=エメリク・オーバメヤンら高給取りのベテランを整理するなど動いてチームを復活させた。アルテタ監督との絆もあり、友人関係でもあった中、今回の電撃辞任。ただ、これは内紛があったり、考えの相違などではないという。イギリス『ガーディアン』によると、エドゥ氏にはエヴァンゲロス・マリナキス氏のグループが関心。今シーズンはプレミアリーグでここまで3位と好調のノッティンガム・フォレストではかなり上級職に就く可能性があるようだ。エドゥ氏には最高経営責任者(CEO)のポジションに就く可能性もあるとし、フォレスト、オリンピアコス、リオ・アヴェと3つのクラブを束ねる可能性もあるようだ。また、アーセナル以上の好条件が提示されたとし、「今は、別の挑戦に取り組むとき」と語っていた挑戦は新たなクラブで新たな役職に就く可能性が高いと見られている。 2024.11.05 21:50 Tue
