2023年7月にオーストラリアとニュージーランドで行われる女子ワールドカップ(W杯)に関して、ヨーロッパの3カ国の出場が決定した。
現在は女子のインターナショナル・マッチデー(IMD)。なでしこジャパンは国内合宿を実施した。
ヨーロッパでは女子W杯予選が行われ、スウェーデン女子代表、スペイン女子代表、フランス女子代表が出場を決めた。
欧州予選は、9つのグループに分かれて予選が行われ、首位チームが出場。2位チームはプレーオフに進むこととなる。2位チームの上位3カ国はシード、残りの6カ国はプレーオフ1回戦を戦い、その後の決勝で出場権を争う。
スウェーデンは9大会連続9度目の出場。2019年のフランス女子W杯では3位の成績を残しており、東京オリンピックでは銀メダルを獲得し、オリンピックは2大会連続銀メダルを獲得している強豪だ。
フランスは、前回大会は開催国で4大会連続5度目の出場に。W杯は2大会連続のベスト8、東京五輪は出場を逃したが、リオ・デ・ジャネイロ五輪ではベスト8の成績を残している。

「今までで最も酷い」「複雑な気持ち」太陽をイメージしたスウェーデン代表の新ユニフォームが大不評「一体どうすればこんなにも間違うのか」

マンチェスター・シティのスウェーデン女子代表MFフィリパ・アンイエルダール(26)が、チームを離れるようだ。スウェーデン『Sportbladet』が伝えた。 アンイエルダールは2021年9月にヘッケンからシティへ加入し、自身初の国外クラブ挑戦を果たした。 スウェーデン女子代表としても54キャップを誇り、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)では、なでしこジャパン相手にPKを沈めた。 シティではここまで67試合に出場し、8得点をマーク。今季のリーグ戦もスタメン8試合を含む12試合に出場している。 一方で、2年プラス延長1年の契約期間が今季で終了。アーセナルが手を挙げていると伝えられていたが、同メディアによればレアル・マドリー行きが濃厚とのことだ。 もちろん、シティも契約延長を希望している。中盤2列目ではジェス・パークが好調だが、前十字じん帯損傷で離脱中のジル・ルード復帰までにはまだ時間がかかり、デイナ・カステリャノスも今冬に移籍。層が厚いわけでは決してない。 現在FA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で2位に付けるシティは、順当にいけば来季の女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)を2年ぶりに獲得できる。一定のスカッドをそろえておきたいシティにとっても留めたい選手なだけに、去就には注目が集まりそうだ。 2024.04.04 20:40 Thu
