現役時代はピッチ内外で度々問題を起こし悪童と呼ばれ、引退後も歯に衣着せぬ物言いが取り上げられるカッサーノ氏。最近、ポルトガル『Cabine Desportiva』のインタビューに応じた際にターゲットとしたのがクリスティアーノ・ロナウドだった。
ユナイテッド復帰以降、なかなか調子の出ない同選手。今季のリーグ戦では先発出場が一度しかなく、今回の代表戦でもスペイン相手に何度も決定機を逃すなど、明らかにかつての水準から大きく下回っている。
クラブでも代表でも危うい立場にある37歳に、カッサーノ氏は引退も視野に入れるべきだと助言。ベンチを温めてまで現役を続ける必要はないと、大きな決断を促した。

悪童カッサーノがサッカー人生に幕…「これからは自分の足に頼らなくても美しいことができる」

C・ロナウド、美人アーティストの電話番号のためポルシェを格安で譲る!ユナイテッド時代のスタッフが仰天エピソードを明かす

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす
