類稀な才能を持つ一部の人間が超一流という言葉で表されるが、その中でも自分の名前を用いて、場所を表現される選手はほとんどいない。今でこそ「5レーン理論」が浸透し、戦術論が日々語られるが、そのレーンに名前を持つレジェンドがいる。それが、元イタリア代表FWのアレッサンドロ・デル・ピエロだ。
「5レーン理論」で言う所の「左のハーフスペース」、ゴールに向かって縦に5分割した時の、左から2つ目のレーンのことだ。ボックス内のこのゾーンは「デル・ピエロ・ゾーン」と呼ばれ、左斜め45度はデル・ピエロの聖域だった。
華やかなキャリアを築くデル・ピエロも、スタートは2部リーグ。セリエBのパドヴァでプロキャリアをスタートさせる。1992年3月、デル・ピエロが17歳の時にセリエBでデビュー。翌シーズンもパドヴァで過ごすと、1993年夏にユベントスへと移籍した。
後にイタリア代表監督にもなるジョバンニ・トラパットーニ監督に見初められたデル・ピエロだったが、当初はプリマヴェーラでプレー。しかし、そのプリマヴェーラでチームにタイトルをもたらせる活躍を見せると、9月にはセリエAでデビューを果たす。

ディバラのスパーズ行きが急浮上! 約83億円でクラブ間合意に

欧州のドリブルキングはメッシ! C・ロナウドとは成功数に1000以上の差
