試合は12分、いきなり岩渕が見せ場を作る。

自陣からのロングボールを相手DFがクリア。これを岩渕が拾うと、ドリブルで持ち出しボックス手前で右足一閃。鋭いシュートが左サイドネットに突き刺さり、先制ゴールとなった。

このゴールは岩渕にとって移籍後2点目。このゴールで1-0と勝利したアストン・ビラは今季3勝目となり、貴重な勝ち点3に貢献した。
