ドイツ代表FWカイ・ハヴァーツの2ゴールは報われなかった。1日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループE最終節が行われた。コスタリカ代表と対戦したドイツ代表は4-2で意地の今大会初勝利。同時刻に行われていた日本代表vsスペイン代表の結果次第では決勝トーナメント進出が叶う状況だった。
だが、日本がスペイン相手に逆転勝利。その結果ドイツの逆転突破は叶わず、2大会連続でのグループステージ敗退となった。
これがちょっとした悲劇を起こすことに。グループステージの結果にかかわらずFIFAは勝利したドイツのプレーヤー・オブ・ザ・マッチ(POTM)を選出。2ゴールを挙げたハヴァーツが選ばれ、記念のトロフィーが与えられた。
だが、すでにグループステージ敗退を知っているハヴァーツに笑顔はなく、記念撮影はお通夜状態に。ハヴァーツの表情は言葉にできないむなしさを感じさせた。
決まり事とはいえ、ハヴァーツにとって酷な出来事だった。

アーセナルがハヴァーツを手中に、移籍金は総額118億円…公式発表待つのみに

アーセナル主将ウーデゴールがパパに! パートナーとともに第一子誕生を公表

「全くもってプロではなかった」浅野拓磨を見下した?リュディガーのステップをドイツ代表のレジェンドも問題視「相手を軽んじてはいけない」

W杯で日本と対戦するドイツ代表の呼称「ディー・マンシャフト」が廃止に…7月末に結論
カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、日本代表とも対戦するドイツ代表だが、その“愛称”について議論がなされている。 2014年のブラジルW杯では優勝を果たしているドイツ代表。チームの愛称として「Die Mannschaft(ディー・マンシャフト)」が採用されている。 これはW杯制覇後の2015年にドイツ代表のマネージャーを務めるオリバー・ビアホフ氏が呼称として導入したもの。意味は「これがチームだ」というものだが、廃止の方向で話が進んでいる。 ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長は、この呼称について終わる可能性があることを20日にコメント。7月末に結論を出すという。 「終わりが来る。7月末に責任機関の会合が開かれ、決定が確実に下される。終わりのない話には興味がない」 「今回の定性調査では、我々のイメージを固め、意見をまとめることができるはずだ。ただ、調査に依存することはない」 この言葉の生みの親とも言われるビアホフ氏は「我慢すれば良い」と会長の決定を受け入れることを示唆。日本と対戦するときにはもう使われない愛称となっていそうだ。 2022.06.21 14:30 Tue
