ケガでカタール・ワールドカップの不参加が決まったユベントスのフランス代表MFポール・ポグバが、同胞たちへエールを送っている。

9日に発表されたカタールW杯に臨むフランス代表メンバー。主砲のカリム・ベンゼマをはじめ、エースのキリアン・ムバッペ、オリヴィエ・ジルーと、前線に強力なタレントが揃ったほか、最終ラインでもケガが懸念されていたラファエル・ヴァランとプレスネル・キンペンベがメンバー入り。連覇に向けて十分なスカッドとなった。

その一方で、エンゴロ・カンテと共にケガで無念の不参加となったポグバ。今季からユベントスに復帰し心機一転を図ったが、シーズン開幕前の7月に負ったヒザのケガが尾を引き、カタール行きのチケットを手放すことになった。

失意と言う他ないが、29歳はインスタグラムを通じて、前向きな言葉とともにチームへの激励の言葉を送っている。

「神様は別のプランを用意してくれたみたいだ。僕はサポートに徹することにするよ。遠く離れた場所からだけど、心は彼らと一緒だ!」

F・メンディ離脱でヴェレトゥを追加招集…フランス代表でメンバー変更
