アメリカ代表のトレーニングウェアのデザインは、賛否が分かれているようだ。23日、ドイツのデュッセルドルフ・アレーナで行われたキリンチャレンジカップ2022、日本代表vsアメリカ代表は、MF鎌田大地(フランクフルトとMF三笘薫(ブライトン&ホーブアルビオン)がゴールを決め、2-0で快勝した。

日本にとっては新ユニフォームのお披露目試合となったが、同じくアメリカもこの日が新たなキットのデビュー戦に。また、ウォーミングアップ用のウェアも、新たなデザインのものが採用された。
これまでの単一青とは打って変わって、白地に青と赤の絞り染めグラフィックを使用。非常に目を惹くデザインとなった。ただ、評価は分かれているようだ。

肯定派から「それを本番用のジャージにできますか?」、「WC用よりは優れている」、「こっちの方が見栄えはする」と、新ユニフォームよりもこちらがいいという意見が上がった。
対照的に否定的なコメントとしては「ただのレジャーウェアだと思っていました」、「ジャクソン・ポロックによる春物かと」、「トレーニングキットも台無し」、「ホーム&アウェイも含めて5歳児が作ったんだ」、「誰の子がペンキをこぼしたん?」、「血痕を隠すために設計されている」など、抽象表現主義の絵画から子供遊びといったの声が届いている。

試合も敗れ、マイナスのイメージが先行してしまったアメリカの新キット。「アメリカのキットはひどいので、日本のジャージを着ざるを得ない」、「今日のプレーが悪かったのはナイキのせいだ」などと、愚痴をこぼさずにはいられないようだ。

新シーズンに臨む鎌田が“神頼み” 滝をバックにした1枚には先輩・原口が「一回滝に打たれた方がいいよ」と一言

「壮大で記憶に残る」ナイキのPVでムバッペvsロナウジーニョが実現!豪炎寺修也も登場で海外ファン歓喜

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!

かつて日本を苦しめたアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガンが新規参入チームへ電撃移籍「スタートが待ちきれない」

「夢が叶った」左腕の一部がないピケットがアメリカ女子代表デビュー、史上初の選手に
