シティ退団のデ・ブライネ、クラブW杯出場は「分からない」…それでも現役続行に自信「まだプレーできる」

イギリス長者番付が発表! アスリートで1位はベッカム氏の記録を更新
英国の中で最も裕福な人々を純資産でランク付けしている「Sunday Times Rich List」の最新版が発表された。 これは、イギリス『サンデー・タイムズ』が発行しているもので、いわゆる長者番付と言われるもの。毎年ランク付けがされている。 ランキングには実業家や投資家、アーティストやスポーツ選手など、あらゆるジャンルの人々の現在の資産を元にランク付けされ、毎年4月に更新されるものだ。 今回はその最新版が発表。スポーツ部門で最も裕福な男に選ばれたのは、F1ドライバーのルイス・ハミルトンだった。 ハミルトンは、2019年のF1グランプリで自身6度目の年間チャンピオンに輝いていたスタードライバー。メルセデスとの契約は昨年は4000万ポンド(約52億2000万円)とのこと。また、2023年までメルセデスと契約するため、6000万ポンド(約78億3500万円)の契約を結ぶことになるという。 これにより、ハミルトンは2億2400万ポンド(約292億4600万円)の資産を持つこととなり、「Sunday Times Rich List」における現役アスリートでトップに。また、アスリートとして歴代記録を持っていた元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのデイビッド・ベッカム氏が2013年に引退した当時の2億ポンド(約261億1300万円)を超え、歴代1位となった。 なお、2位には北アイルランド出身のプロゴルファーであるローリー・マキロイが入り、3700万ポンド(約48億3100万円)増の1億7000万ポンド(約222億円)の資産を保有するという。マキロイは今年2月に5年ぶりとなる世界ランキングトップに返り咲き、ナイキとゴルフメーカーのテイラーメイドと1億ドル(約107億円)のスポンサー契約を結んだとのことだ。 また、30歳以下を対象にした「Young Rich List」というものもあり、これのスポーツ部門のトップは、レアル・マドリーに所属するウェールズ代表FWガレス・ベイルの1億1400万ポンド(約148億8500万円)だった。 なお、「Young Rich List」はほとんどがプレミアリーグの選手がランキングを占めており、プレミアリーグ内では、フランス代表MFポール・ポグバ(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド)が1位。続いて、ベルギー代表MFケビン・デ・ブライネ(マンチェスター・シティ)、スペイン代表GKダビド・デ・ヘア(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド)となっている。なお、シティの選手はデ・ブライネとイングランド代表FWラヒーム・スターリングのみとなっている。 「Sunday Times Rich List」の編集者であるロバート・ワッツ氏は「リッチリストを主に構成したのは、ルイス・ハミルトン、ローリー・マキロイの2人であったことは偶然ではない」とコメント。また「これらのスポーツスターは、「Sunday Times Rich List」の起業家やビジネスリーダーと大きく異なる。しかし、ゴルフ、ボクシング、モーターレース、サッカーなどのビッグネームは、ハードワークや規律、犠牲など、同じ能力を持っている」とコメントしている。 2020.05.14 12:50 Thu

頭部同士が激しく激突、動けず12分間も治療…担架で運ばれたイングランド女子代表DFにはスタンドから拍手
