お父さんの指示をスルー…握手をしなかった長男とC・ロナウドの親子のやり取りが話題「この後叱られたのかな?」

C・ロナウドは破局したら毎月1600万円を支払い? 「妻」と呼んで話題のジョルジーナさんとの間に契約が発覚

アイルランドサッカー協会100周年のユニフォームが発表!胸には“シャムロック”の葉

欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)は6日、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)とアイルランドサッカー協会(FAI)に対しての罰金処分を科すことを発表した。 両協会は9月に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)で対戦。イングランド代表のファンがアイルランド国歌の『Amhran na bhFiann(兵士の歌)』に対してブーイングを行っていた。 UEFAはFAに対して1万2500ユーロ(約207万円)の罰金を科すこととなった。 一方で、アイルランド代表のファンはイギリス国歌の『God Save The King(神よ、国王を護り給え)』に対してブーイング。1万ユーロ(約165万円)の罰金が科された。 イングランド代表のファンは再犯と見なされたこともあり、処分がより重くなったという。 また、FAは発煙筒の使用で9250ユーロ(約153万円)、観客のピッチ侵入で6000ユーロ(約100万円)の罰金。さらに、競技場への不正侵入で5000ユーロ(約82万円)の罰金も科されている。 2024.11.06 23:09 Wed

ユーロ本大会進出に上機嫌のロイ・キーン氏があの“サイパン事件”のジョークをかます

アイルランドのレジェンド、アラン・マクローリン氏が54歳で逝去…94年W杯に導く貴重なゴールが語り草

かつてスウィンドン・タウンやポーツマスで活躍した元アイルランド代表MFのアラン・マクローリン氏(享年54)が逝去したことがわかった。フットボール・アソシエーション・オブ・アイルランド(FAI)が4日に訃報を伝えた。 死因に関する詳細は明かされていないが、マクローリン氏は今年3月に2度目の癌を患い、闘病中であることを明らかにしていた。 FAIのジェリー・マカナニー会長はレジェンドの訃報に際して、以下のような追悼コメントを残している。 「アランは18年前のベルファストで決めたゴール、この国全体を感動で震わせたゴールによって常に多くの人の記憶に残り続けるはずだ」 「彼はアイルランドにとって素晴らしいプレーヤーであり、多くの若いプレーヤーを指導した素晴らしい指導者であり、非常に誇り高いファミリーマンだった」 「彼をアイルランドのフットボール・ファミリーの一員として迎えることができて幸運だった。この最も困難な時期を過ごす妻のデビーと彼の家族に心から寄り添い、アイルランドのフットボールに関わるすべての人を代表して哀悼の意を表する」 マンチェスター・ユナイテッドの練習生から1985–86シーズンにプロ契約を勝ち取ったマクローリン氏だが、トップチームデビューを飾ることなくスウィンドンに移籍。その後はサウサンプトンやポーツマス、ウィガン、ロッチデール、フォレストグリーン・ローヴァーズを渡り歩き、2003年に現役を引退した。 クラブキャリアを通じてタイトルには恵まれなかったものの、ポーツマスでは300試合以上に出場したレジェンドの1人だった。 また、1990年にデビューを飾ったアイルランド代表では1990年イタリア大会、1994年アメリカ大会と2つのワールドカップ本大会に出場するなど、通算42試合に出場し2ゴールを記録。とりわけ、1993年11月17日に行われた欧州予選の北アイルランド代表戦ではチームを本大会に導く貴重な同点ゴールを挙げており、その活躍は多くのアイルランド国民の記憶に残っている。 現役引退後の2016年からは古巣スウィンドンのアカデミーで指導者を務めていた。 2021.05.05 07:00 Wed

エバートンが在籍15年目を迎える主将コールマンと1年契約を延長「どれほど大きな意味を持つか…」

エバートンは29日、アイルランド代表DFシェイマス・コールマン(34)との契約延長を発表した。 新契約は2024年6月30日までの1年間。15シーズン目を迎えることとなる。 コールマンは2009年1月に母国アイルランドのスライゴ・ローヴァーズから6万ポンド()でエバートンに加入。14シーズン半を過ごし、公式戦409試合に出場し28ゴール22アシストを記録している。 現在のプレミアリーグでは最も長くプレーする選手であり、あと3試合で元アメリカ代表GKティム・ハワードが持つクラブのプレミアリーグ最多出場記録354試合に並ぶこととなる。 右サイドバックを主戦場に、ハードなプレーと情熱を持ったパフォーマンスが特徴。2019年からはキャプテンを務めている。 2011年にはアイルランド代表でデビューを果たし、68キャップを記録。現在も代表チームでプレーしている。 コールマンは残留争いを演じる中で、5月にヒザの内側じん帯損傷の重傷を負い、復帰を目指している中での契約延長。クラブを通じてコメントしている。 「僕にとってエバートンがどれほど大きな意味を持つかは誰もが知っている。この新しい契約にサインし、この偉大なクラブでプレーをし続けることが特別な理由だ」 「14年以上前に加入した瞬間から、僕と家族のファンやクラブの周囲の人々からのサポートは素晴らしく、僕がエバートンの代表を務めることがどれほど幸運であるかを決して当たり前のこととは思っていない」 「それには、近年キャプテンマークを巻いているという栄誉も含まれている」 2023.06.30 10:40 Fri
