リバプールは5日、2023-24シーズンの新ユニフォームを発表した。

今回発表された新ユニフォームは、クラブカラーの赤一色の超シンプルなデザイン。襟と袖口、クラブエンブレムやナイキのロゴ、スポンサーは全て白で統一されている。

シンプル過ぎるデザインだが、うっすらと織柄が入ることに。このユニフォームデザインは、50年前の1973-74シーズンでFAカップ優勝を果たしたチームにインスパイアされたもの。伝説となっているビル・シャンクリー元監督の最後のシーズンへ敬意を払ったクラシックでレトロなものとなった。

この新キットは20日のホーム最終戦であるアストン・ビラ戦でお披露目。拡張工事が行われる前のアンフィールドでのラストマッチともなり、エモーショナルな一戦となりそうだ。

ジョーダン・ヘンダーソンは「デザインの背後にあるインスピレーションを考えると、象徴的であり、この偉大なクラブの歴史になっt区する。ビラとの試合でアンフィールドで着るのが楽しみだ」とコメントしている。
