チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)優勝5回などレアル・マドリーで数多のタイトルを獲得し、在籍最終年には主将も務めたマルセロ。昨夏加入したオリンピアコスとは2月に契約を解除したが、直後に古巣フルミネンセへの16年ぶり復帰が発表されていた。

3月に加入したばかりの左サイドバックは現地時間9日に行われたリオ・デ・ジャネイロ州選手権決勝2ndレグ、ホームでのフラメンゴ戦で復帰後の本拠地で初先発。いきなり結果を残した。

1週間前に行われたアウェイでの1stレグを0-2で落としていたフルミネンセだったが30分、マルセロがボックス右まで侵入してキープすると、切れ味鋭いターンでマーカーをかわす。さらに、カバーに入った相手も難なく置き去りにすると、ペナルティアーク右から左足を一閃。強烈なミドルを左隅に突き刺した。

百戦錬磨のサイドバックの一撃で反撃の口火を切ったフルミネンセは、その後34分、56分、65分と、一気に4得点を奪っての逆転。マルセロは83分にお役御免となったが、チームもフラメンゴの反撃も最終盤の1点のみにとどめ、合計スコア4-3で見事に逆転でのタイトルを獲得している。

元ブラジル代表フレッジが38歳で現役引退…ラストマッチは約7万人に見送られる

まるで別人!若返り手術をした元Jリーグ指揮官の現在の姿に海外衝撃「誰か分からない」

39歳DFチアゴ・シウバが古巣フルミネンセに完全移籍! シーズン終了後に移籍、2年契約を結ぶ
