モドリッチはクロアチア・ザグレブに拠点を構える『lunilou』という子供服ブランドのモデルとして登場した。同じくクロアチア代表で活躍するチェルシーのMFマテオ・コバチッチもモデルを務めた。

このブランドは、コバチッチの妻であるイザベルさんが立ち上げたもので、そのつながりもあり2人はアンバサダーに就任していた。

肌ざわりの良さそうな、ゆったりとしたスウェット風のルームウェアを着たモドリッチとコバチッチ。このルームウェアは子供用、男性用、ユニセックス用と展開され、女性向けのコレクションで成功を収めた『lunilou』として、新たなターゲットにむけたものとなっている。

モドリッチはベージュの、コバチッチはモスグリーンの服を着こなし、子供たちとくつろいだ雰囲気の中で撮影。子供たちが愛くるしいのは疑いようもないのだが、気になるのはインテリアとして用意されたボールだろう。何故かサッカーボールではなく、アメフトボールが用意されている。

サッカーボールでは撮影の際に転がってしまい、安定しないからなのだろうか。もしくは、モドリッチが過去にアメフトならぬラグビーボールによるクロスバーチャレンジを成功させていることを踏まえてのことなのだろうか。何にせよ、子供たちはアメフトボールに興味津々だ。

「史上最悪」「恥ずかしい」伝統の市松模様が史上最大サイズになったクロアチアの新ユニフォームには酷評の嵐「これ以上酷いものは見たことがない」
