日本代表のMF守田英正(スポルティングCP)がイラン代表戦を振り返った。3日、アジアカップ2023準決勝で日本はイランと対戦。FIFAランキングではアジアで1位と2位の対決となった。
共に中2日で迎えたこの一戦。日本、イランともに3選手を入れ替えて臨んだ中、日本が先制。守田が強引に突破してねじ込んだ。
前半にリードを奪った日本だったが、後半はイランがパワープレー気味に押し込んでいくことに。防戦一方となった日本は、押し込まれ続け、何度も決定的なピンチを迎える。
それでも耐えていたが、55分に縦パス2つで失点。その後もイランの試合となるが日本は我慢を続けていく。
試合後のフラッシュインタビューに応じた守田は先制ゴールについて「相手が僕のポジションにタイトに来ていたので、上田選手が空いているのが見えましたし、サポートもできて良いタッチもできて良かったと思います」とコメント。良い形でのゴールを決められたと振り返った。
しかし、後半はほとんどイラクに押し込まれる展開に。「相手がロングボール主体で攻撃してくることは想定内だったので、最初の守備位置は深く取っていて、攻撃は前に行くことを意識しました」とコメント。相手の戦い方への対策は準備できていたという。
その中で「最後は声を掛けられず、事故のような失点は今日のような試合では起こり得る可能性が見えていたので非常に勿体無いです」とコメント。「難しい試合の中で、ボランチとしてゲームをもっとコントロールする力が必要かなと。自分の責任だなと思います」と、押し込まれている中でも、しっかりとコントロールしたかったとした。
今大会で得たものについては「グループステージからもそうですし、この試合を見ても、一対一、個のフィジカル、制空権など、もっとマッチアップした相手に勝っていかないといけない」と、課題が多くあったとし、「その勝率がチームの勝敗に大きく影響すると思うので、そういうところは大会を通して学びました」と、この先にしっかりと戦えるようになる必要があると振り返った。

ベストイレブン発表!最強王者川崎Fから史上最多9名が選出!《2020Jリーグアウォーズ》

「めっちゃフロンターレ」U-24日本代表に並ぶ面子にOA枠の吉田麻也も驚き「ファンも喜ぶ」

「一瞬息が止まった」「イケメンすぎ」谷口彰悟のモデル姿が話題に! プーマのゴルフ部門でアンバサダーに「そろそろ絶命してしまう」

「漫画かよ」「ドラマがあるなぁ」“救世主”三笘薫と中村憲剛氏の13年前の姿にファンも感激「エモすぎる」
