8日、『ドラゴンボール』や『Dr.スランプ』などを生み出した漫画家の鳥山明さんが、2024年3月1日に急性硬膜下血腫のため亡くなっていたことが発表された。
日本はもちろんのこと、世界中でも多くのファンを持ち、日本の漫画やアニメの文化が世界中に広がるきっかけとなった作品とも言われるのが『ドラゴンボール』。1984年から『週刊少年ジャンプ』で連載がスタートすると、アニメ化されて人気が拡大した。
海外でもファンが多い中、サッカー選手の中にも『ドラゴンボール』が好きな選手は多い。
マルセイユのガボン代表FWピエール=エメリク・オーバメヤンはインスタグラムのストーリーズで追悼。サンフレッチェ広島のマルコス・ジュニオールは鳥山さんの写真をストーリーズに投稿し、追悼した。
また、セリエAの公式X(旧ツイッター)は悟空の胴着を着た写真と共に「サッカーとドラゴンボールで育った人たちへ」と投稿。ブラジルのサントスは「鳥山明さん、安らかに。お悔やみ申し上げます」と孫悟空の画像と共に投稿し、追悼した。
グレミオはユニフォームを着た孫悟空の写真と共に「ドラゴンボールの作者、鳥山明さんが1日に逝去しました。彼は全世代を魅了し、彼の芸術を通じてグレミオが常に守ってきた逞しさと団結への価値観を伝えてくれました。あなたを包む空は輝いている。安らかにお休みください」と追悼した。
パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)のファンなどはコレオグラフィーも出したことがあるリーグ・アンも「ありがとう、鳥山明さん」としてコレオグラフィーの写真と共に追悼。セビージャは『ドラゴンボール』に出てくるフュージョンのポーズをとるルーカス・オカンポスとスソの写真と共に追悼した。
その他にもドルトムント、ミラン、ユベントス、バレンシア、レアル・ソシエダ、レアル・ベティス、フラメンゴ、インデペンディエンテ、ビジャレアルなど多くのクラブも追悼。カリアリに至っては、トリノ戦のメンバーリストを『ドラゴンボール』仕様にして投稿し追悼。アスレティック・ビルバオは、ニコ・ウィリアムズとイニャキ・ウィリアムズの兄弟がフュージョンポーズをとってオマージュし、追悼。ラ・リーガも2人が試合中のパフォーマンスで行った動画を投稿していた。
改めて鳥山明さんの偉大さがわかる今回の各方面からの反応。世界中の人々に多くの感動と勇気を与えていたことが改めて感じられることとなった。

アスレティック・ビルバオのガーナ代表FWイニャキ・ウィリアムズが、弟のスペイン代表FWニコ・ウィリアムズの今夏を振り返った。スペイン『スポルト』が伝えた。
今夏はバルセロナへの移籍が取り沙汰されたニコ・ウィリアムズ。本人も前向きかに思われたが、アスレティックで元スペイン代表MFイケル・ムニアインの背番号「10」を受け継ぎ、今シーズンもサン・マメスでプレーを継続することとなった。
昨シーズンのコパ・デル・レイを制し、7年ぶりに欧州の舞台へ戻ったアスレティックは、26日に行われたヨーロッパリーグ(EL)の初戦でローマと対戦。試合前にはイニャキ・ウィリアムズが、残留を決断したニコ・ウィリアムズとの目標を語っていた。
「とても長く、とてもハードな夏だった。決断を迫られる夏だった。数カ月経て、僕としては正しいと感じる決断を彼は下した」
「今、僕らにはチーム全体で考えているのと同じように叶えたい夢がある。アスレティックで欧州の大会でプレーできる幸運に恵まれた選手はほとんどいない。そして今、僕らは多くの人の夢を叶えようとしている」
試合はローマに先制される展開も、ニコ・ウィリアムズらの投入で後半途中から攻勢を強めたアスレティック。85分にはセットプレーからスペイン人DFアイトール・パレデスが同点弾を決め、引き分けに持ち込んでいる。

アスレティック・ビルバオのスペイン代表FWニコ・ウィリアムズの不貞行為が暴露されてしまった。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えた。
兄のイニャキ・ウィリアムズと共にアスレティックで躍動するニコ・ウィリアムズ。ウインガーとして台頭し、2022年9月にはスペイン代表デビュー。ルイス・エンリケ監督の下でカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)にも出場。日本代表戦を含む4試合でプレーしていた。
その後も継続してスペイン代表に呼ばれているニコ・ウィリアムズだが、元ガールフレンドが当時の不貞行為を暴露した。
ニコ・ウィリアムズと交際していたのは、インフルエンサーであり、TikTokerのルシア・コレアさん。インスタグラムは36万5000人のフォロワーがおり、TikTokでは約93万8000人のフォロワーを誇り、6000万以上の「いいね」をもらっている人気者だ。
コレアさんは、コンテンツクリエイターのアドリ・コントレラス氏の「Twitch」チャンネルに出演。交際当時の様子を明かした。
「私には将来が見えなかった。4カ月間一緒にいたけど、その4カ月はなかったようなものだった。なぜなら、いくつかの障害があったからなの」
コレアさんの主張によると、ニコ・ウィリアムズは交際中に他の女性とも多数関係を持っていたとのこと。ニコ・ウィリアムズもインスタグラムのフォロワーが40万人を超えており、SNS上では多くの女性との出会いがあったとのこと。そこで関係を持っていたという。
また、別れた理由についてコレアさんは、「彼が私を騙していた」と答え、自ら別れを決めたという。
21歳のニコ・ウィリアムズが不誠実だったのは若さ故なのか、それとも軽く捉えていたのか。いずれにしても、自らの不貞行為でキャリアに傷をつけないことは意識してもらいたいものだ。

アスレティック・ビルバオのイニャキ・ウィリアムズ(28)が5日、自身のツイッターでガーナ代表を選択することを発表した。
ガーナ人の父親、リベリア人の母親を持つイニャキ・ウィリアムズは、両親のスペイン移住によってビルバオで誕生。
アスレティックで頭角を現し、主力に成長したイニャキ・ウィリアムズは2016年5月に行われたボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナとの国際親善試合でスペイン代表デビューを飾っていた。
しかし、直後に行われたユーロ2016ではメンバーに選出されず、その後はスペイン代表でプレーする機会はなかった。
当時からガーナ代表への変更を協会から切望されていたイニャキ・ウィリアムズだったが、カタール・ワールドカップ出場を決めているガーナ代表をこの度選択することになった。
イニャキ・ウィリアムズはガーナ代表への変更について｢ガーナが僕ら家族に与えてくれたものの一部を返したいんだ｣とコメントしている。

▽ビルバオの下部組織出身のイニャキは、2014年にトップチームに昇格して以来着実に成長。その快足を武器に頼れるベテランFWアリツ・アドゥリスの隣でプレーし、昨シーズンも公式戦52試合10ゴール8アシストを記録した。今年1月にはビルバオとの契約を2025年夏まで延長し、今となってはチームにとって欠かせない選手だ。
▽そんな地元でのスターであるイニャキは、この夏にガールフレンドと共にビルバオの祭りに参加。そして、公衆の面前でそのガールフレンドと激しい口論になってしまい、どうやらその様子を撮影した人物から脅迫を受けたようだ。
▽ウィリアムズは第一に、公共の場で口論を繰り広げてしまったことを謝罪。また、既にその様子の動画は拡散されてしまっているが、それについて脅迫を受けていたことを明かし、以下のように法的手段に出ると表明した。
「事態が法的代理人の手にあることを公にする。私たちの望みに反して録画が公開され、脅迫が試みられた」
▽拡散されている動画を視聴する限り、イニャキが暴力に訴えている様子はなく、いわゆる“痴話喧嘩”の範疇だろう。その場に居合わせていた第三者の悪意には、災難だったと言わざるを得ない。
