ユベントス、構想外となっていたマッケニーとの契約延長に合意! 年俸は現状維持

ドーピング違反の疑惑により4年間の出場艇処分が下されていた中、処分が18カ月と大幅に短縮されたポール・ポグバ。イギリス『デイリー・メール』のインタビューに応じ、過去のエピソードを明かした。 マンチェスター・ユナイテッドで育ったポグバ。ユベントスへのフリー移籍を経験すると、イタリアの地で大きく成長。2016年にはクラブ史上最高額の8900万ポンド(現レート:約173億8000万円)でユナイテッドに復帰したが、再びユベントスへと移籍している。 そんな中で、突然の出来事が。自身がドーピング違反をしている疑惑が浮上。突然の出来事だったと明かした。 「面白い話があるんだけど、映画のプレミアのために新しいスーツを試着していたんだ。でも、携帯電話を持っていなかった」 「妻(ズライ)が僕の携帯電話を持って2階に駆け上がってきて、『弁護士だ』と叫んだ。折り返し電話すると言ったけど、彼女は電話に出るように言ったんだよ」 「スーツを着たまま階下に降りて行って、彼に話しかけたんだ!彼がその知らせを僕に伝えたとき、僕は黙っていた。みんなは飛び上がってとても喜んでいたけど、僕はショックを受けていた。その喜びはすぐに決意に変わった。僕たちは地獄を経験した。暗黒の時代。でもこれは二度目のチャンスだから、それを生かさなければならない。僕は興奮していた」 思わぬ知らせを受けたポグバ。そこからは地獄の日々が続いたが、疑惑が晴れたことで処分が軽減。2025年1月にトレーニングに復帰し、3月にはプレーにも復帰できるとみられている。 そのポグバはインタビューの中でユナイテッド在籍時の状況についてコメント。ジョゼ・モウリーニョ監督との関係を明かした。 「恋人同士のようだった。しょっちゅう別れたり仲直りしたりしていた。最初はうまくいった。僕がマンチェスターに戻った理由のひとつは彼だった」 「なぜ悪夢のような喧嘩になってしまったのかは分からない。監督と選手のように意見が合わなかった。でも、僕は彼に大きな敬意を抱いている。明日彼に会ったら、抱きしめてあげるよ!でも、いつか座って話し合わないといけないね」 モウリーニョ監督をリスペクトしながらも、衝突することも少なくなかったというポグバ。一方で、モウリーニョ監督が去り、オーレ・グンナー・スールシャール監督が就任した1年目は最高のシーズンだったと振り返った。ただ、そのシーズン限りで退団も希望していたが、当時のCEO(最高経営責任者)であるエド・ウッドワード氏が移籍を認めてくれたなかったと明かした。 「今まで誰にも話したことのないことを話そう。ジョゼが去りオーレが来た年は、僕にとってユナイテッドで最高のシーズンだった。でも、最終戦の後、オーレとエド・ウッドワードに、今年が最後の年だと思うので去りたいと伝えた」 「僕は27歳で、望んでいたようにはうまくいかなかった。ベストを尽くしたけど、クラブが上向きになるとは思えなかった。去りたかったけど、プロフェッショナルでありたかったからプレシーズンに戻ってきた」 「エドに移籍を希望したけど、彼はそれを阻止した。もうユナイテッドでプレーしたくはなかったけど、プロフェッショナルでなければならなかった。精神的に安定していなかったし、その後にケガをしてしまった」 その後にユベントスへと移籍したが、そこでは輝きを見せられず。そして、ドーピング疑惑が浮上した。医師から認められていたサプリメントが問題となったわけだが、意図的にドーピングをしたわけではないことが認められて処分が軽減。今は新たな目標を持っているとした。 「僕には目標と夢がある。代表チームでプレーすることがずっと夢だったし、それは今も頭の中にある。でも、ポールの将来は今、ピッチに戻って、まだそのレベルにあることを示すことだ」 「僕がプレーできないからといって、サッカーが止まるわけではない。選手たちはプレーしている。それが人生であり、循環というものだ。選手たちは皆、『ポグバが戻ってきた。彼に僕のポジションを奪われたくない』と言うだろう。それは普通のことだ。でも、僕は準備しておかなければならない」 2024.10.18 14:40 Fri

新天地ユーベで輝き放つコンセイソン…イタリア行きは元ポルト指揮官の父親の助言「息子をほしがるビッグクラブが2、3あったが…」

処分軽減も気になるブランク…ポグバの誓い 「確実に新たな自分に」
ユベントスの元フランス代表MFポール・ポグバは新たな姿で復帰する意欲に溢れるという。 2022年夏からユベントスに復帰したポグバだが、2023年8月の試合後にイタリア反ドーピング機関のドーピング検査でテストステロン値を上げる禁止薬物の陽性反応。暫定的ながら出場資格停止に処され、後のB検体による再検査が行われたが、そこでも陽性反応が出た。 今年2月にイタリア反ドーピング裁決機関(TNA)から4年間の出場停止処分を受けたが、スポーツ仲裁裁判所(CAS)に提訴すると、今月に入って事態が一転。故意ではなかったとの理由で処分期間が18カ月まで大幅短縮され、来年3月にも復帰できる運びとなっている。 復帰するとなってもかなりのブランクがあり、再びピークまで持っていけるかが気になるところだが、本人は『ESPN』のインタビューで怒りを原動力に再起を力強く誓う。 「確実に新たなポグバになるだろう。それは間違いなく確かだ。で、繰り返すけど、ポジティブな意味で、よりハングリーに、より決意をもってね。今の僕はプロとして契約していなかったり、再びプロになりたい子どものような気分だ。これは僕の怒りであり、それが原動力。前のレベル、さらに上のレベルで復帰するためにあらゆることをするつもりだよ」 また、「精神的にケガをすると、おそらく肉体的にもケガをする」とした上で、「だから…」と続ける。 「重要なことの1つはそのすべてを清算し、周囲にポジティブばエネルギーだけを注ぐことだ。もちろん、プロフェッショナルであること、正しいことをすることもね。一方で、自分はもう18歳じゃないのは確かだ。だから、ケアはしないといけないし、今ある時間のすべてを捧げるんだ。来季は自分が一番好きなことに専念し、自分が望むレベルに到達したい」 そして、出場停止処分を受けたのを境にフットボールを別角度から見るようになり、「自分がとても愛するものを奪われたときというのは最も感謝の気持ちを抱くときなんだ。だから、今はフットボールをまったく違った目で見ているし、キャリアが終わるまで一瞬一瞬を瞬間を楽しむつもり」と述べている。 2024.10.17 18:05 Thu

アメリカ代表から5名が離脱…プリシックやマッケニーがクラブへ帰還
アメリカサッカー連盟(USSF)は14日、ミランのFWクリスチャン・プリシックやユベントスのMFウェストン・マッケニーら5選手が代表を離脱したことを発表した。 USSFの発表によれば、プリシックは先月のアメリカ代表での試合やミランでかなりの時間をプレーしており、疲労軽減のために一足先に所属クラブに戻ったとのこと。 一方、マッケニーは軽傷のため、さらなる検査と治療のためにクラブへ戻ったとのこと。また、マッケニーのほかにもPSVのFWリカルド・ペピ、スタンダール・リエージュのDFマーロン・フォッシー、コロラド・ラピッズのGKザック・ステフェンが軽傷のためクラブに帰還したという。 なお、現時点で追加招集は予定しておらず、15日に行われるメキシコ代表との国際親善試合は残りの20人で臨むとのことだ。 2024.10.15 08:00 Tue
