2月上旬にアジアカップから戻った冨安だが、ふくらはぎの問題で直近の公式戦4試合を欠場。その間のチームはポルトとのチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)ラウンド16・1stレグこそ落としたが、プレミアリーグで着実に白星を重ねる。
そうしているうちに3月に入ったが、ミケル・アルテタ監督が4日に敵地で行われるプレミアリーグ第27節のシェフィールド・ユナイテッド戦で復帰を示唆した。
イギリス『フットボール・ロンドン』によると、「オレクサンドル・ジンチェンコとトミヤスがメンバー入りする可能性は?」との質問にこう返したようだ。
「可能性はあるが、様子を見る必要がある。特に、土曜日と日曜日の最後2つのセッションではね。(問題なしが)確認できれば、彼らは月曜日に出場できるかもしれない」

冨安と伊東も祝福!ブライトンからアーセナルへ移籍したばかりの三笘の元ライバルFWトロサールに第2子誕生

湘南育ちの19歳DFがセリエA行きの可能性、スウェーデンで輝くU-20日本代表に「彼に注目している」とスカウト

「この痛みを糧に…」準決勝敗退のアーセナル、「十分ではなかった」と繰り返すウーデゴールは圧巻ボレーも阻まれる「素晴らしいセーブに敬意」
