スペイン女子代表をワールドカップ(W杯)優勝に導いたホルヘ・ビルダ氏(42)がモロッコ女子代表の監督に就任した。モロッコサッカー連盟が12日に発表している。

先のW杯初優勝でスペイン女子のフットボール界に歴史を築いたビルダ氏だが、ルイス・ルビアレス前会長によるジェニファー・エルモソへのキス騒動の一環として、兼任したスポーツディレクター職とともに指揮官の任も解かれた。

モロッコ女子代表ではレイナール・ペドロス氏(52)の指揮が2020年11月から続き、先のW杯では初出場ながらベスト16に進出。だが、今年9月のザンビア女子代表との2試合でいずれも敗れ、袂を分つ決断を下した。

「うっとりする」「本当に美しい」W杯で生まれた感動のワンシーン、母親の愛が詰まった瞬間が壁画に「モロッコはみんなの心を奪った」
