イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、イスラエル代表FWリエル・アバダが代表先でのトレーニング中に太ももを負傷し、長期離脱を余儀なくされる可能性があるという。
セルティックのブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督は「彼は今日、検査でロンドンに向かった。3〜4カ月ほどかかると考えている」と語り、シーズン後半戦での復帰を期待した。
2021年夏にセルティック入りのアバダは昨季、公式戦47試合で13得点9アシスト。ロジャーズ新体制の今季も右ウィングの主力として、ここまで5試合で1得点1アシストだった。
そんな21歳は今月に入ってセルティックと新たに4年契約を結んだばかり。3〜4カ月の離脱となれば、今月からのチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)グループステージ全休の恐れもある。
