スペイン代表FWラミン・ヤマルが喜びを語った。

2007年の16歳だが、今季のバルセロナでレギュラーを掴み、スペイン代表に初招集のヤマル。8日に行われたユーロ予選のジョージア代表戦では前半終了間際にダニ・オルモとマルコ・アセンシオの負傷交代というアクシデントによるものだったが、さっそく出番が来た。

これでガビの17歳62日を1年以上も上回る16歳57日でA代表デビューを果たしたヤマルだが、それだけに終わらず、74分に左サイドを突破したニコ・ウィリアムズの折り返しからゴールもマーク。もちろん、このゴールも代表の最年少記録を更新するものとなっている。

欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)の公式サイト『UEFA.com』によると、試合後のヤマルはこうコメントしている。

「最初からとても快適だったよ。前半の終わりから出て、最後までずっとプレーできた。居心地が良かったし、すべてに満足だ」

また、ゴールについては「ニコのお膳立てがすべてだ」とニコ・ウィリアムズに感謝しながら振り返っている。

「彼が僕にGKとの一対一の場面を作ってくれたんだ。だから、僕は自分の身体と魂のままにボールを蹴り込むだけだった。それだけだ!」

長谷川唯&宮澤ひなたが女子バロンドールの候補30名にノミネート! 女子W杯優勝のスペインは最多6名
