バーンリーのヴァンサン・コンパニ監督が、マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのオランダ代表FWワウト・ヴェグホルスト(30)の去就についてコメントした。イギリス『サン』が伝えている。

ヴェグホルストは、今年の1月に、バーンリーからレンタルでユナイテッドに加入した。加入以降、カップ戦では2ゴールを記録しているものの、プレミアリーグでは15試合出場でノーゴールと、ユナイテッドでストライカーの地位を確立できていない。

ヴェグホルスト自身はユナイテッドへの残留を希望しているようだが、今シーズン終了後はバーンリーへの復帰が既定路線となっており、コンパニ監督と将来について話し合う場を持つと伝えられている。
コンパニ監督は、ヴェグホルストのユナイテッドでの成功を祈りつつも、今後についてはしっかりと話し合いたいとイギリス『ミラー』に話した。

「彼はバーンリー保有の選手であり、オランダでもイングランドでも、トップクラブでプレーしてきた選手だ。私にとって重要なのは、彼が良い形でこのシーズンを終えることだ」

クラブの怠慢が自殺の要因に? シティが退団する若手への適切なサポートをしなかったと遺族が主張

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

フレッチャー氏の双子の息子がユナイテッドとプロ契約 シティのアカデミーから昨夏加入

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドがクラブOBの息子たちとプロ契約を交わしたようだ。 そのクラブOBとは元スコットランド代表MFのダレン・フレッシャー氏だ。ユナイテッドではアカデミー出身の選手として2003〜2015年まで活躍。当時のチームが華やかなメンツで彩られるなか、豊富な運動量と献身性をもってして中盤の主力としてプレーした。 そんなフレッシャー氏も40歳となり、古巣ユナイテッドのテクニカルディレクターを務める傍ら、私生活では大きく育った息子たちのパパ。双子のジャックとタイラーは昨夏にマンチェスター・シティのアカデミーからユナイテッドのアカデミーに移籍し、話題を集めた。 イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、2人はユナイテッド入りして以来、印象的で、ジャックの方はエリク・テン・ハグ監督に好印象を与えてシニアチームの練習に急きょ参加したほど。今年3月19日が17歳の誕生日だった両者は揃ってプロ契約にサインしたという。 今季のシニアチームではマーカス・ラッシュフォード、スコット・マクトミネイ、アレハンドロ・ガルナチョに続き、アカデミー出身選手からコビー・メイヌーが台頭。ジャックとタイラーも父を追うように将来のシニアチームで活躍が期待されるが、いかに。 2024.04.04 13:15 Thu
