ポーランド代表のGKヴォイチェフ・シュチェスニーが、フランス代表戦のキーマンは自分だと豪語している。イギリス『デイリー・メール』がコメントを伝えた。

4日にカタール・ワールドカップのラウンド16でフランスと対戦するポーランド。相手はグループステージでは開幕2連勝で楽々と突破を決めた屈指のタレント軍団。特にエースのキリアン・ムバッペは3ゴールを挙げる活躍を見せている。

ポーランドとしても最も注意しなければならない選手だが、シュチェスニーは守勢が予想される中で、「ムバッペを止める鍵? それは僕だよ!」と言ってのけた。

半分冗談を交えたつもりだろうが、今大会のシュチェスニーは2度もPKを止めており、メキシコ戦やサウジアラビア戦ではクリーンシートを記録。キーマンは自分という言葉もあながち間違いではなさそうだ。

なお、シュチェスニーはアルゼンチン戦後に、リオネル・メッシとPKをテーマに賭けをしていたことを明かしており、ピッチ外でも話題を提供してくれている。

2022年プスカシュ賞は衝撃バイシクル弾!アンプティサッカー界から史上初受賞
