元イングランド代表GKが、日本代表のグループステージ突破を称賛した。イギリス『BBC』が伝えた。

1日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループE最終節の日本代表vsスペイン代表が行われ、2-1で日本が勝利。グループ首位で決勝トーナメント進出を決めた。

日本は勝たなければ敗退の可能性もあった中で迎えた一戦。スペイン相手に前半で先制を許す展開となったが、後半から投入された堂安律、田中碧がネットを揺らして逆転。その後はスペインの攻撃を耐えて2-1で勝利した。

初戦のドイツ代表戦もPKで前半に先制を許したが、後半から出場した堂安と浅野拓磨のゴールで2-1と逆転勝利。同じ大会でハーフタイムで負けていながら、2度逆転したチームは過去に3チームしかなく、1938年のブラジル、1970年の西ドイツに続いて3チーム目となった。

世界中を驚かせた日本。勝利が難しいと見られていた中での2試合に勝利したが、元イングランド代表GKのカレン・バーズリー氏はイギリス『BBC』の「ラジオ5」で日本の戦いぶりを称えた。

「超いいね」「絶対買う」日本代表のLINEスタンプ第2弾が発売! W杯参加の全26選手や森保一監督のデザインが話題「ブラボースタンプいい」

「まさに死闘ってカンジ」歴史に残るバーレーンとの4-3の激闘!2004年大会プレイバックに反響「このゴールで中澤佑二に惚れた」

「爽やか〜」「かっこよすぎ」田中碧のニューヘアーが大絶賛、大先輩も「髪型グーやん」
