スイス代表MFグラニト・ジャカは、29日に行われるカタールW杯グループG第2戦のブラジル代表戦へ向けて大会前から闘志を燃やしていたようだ。

スイス代表のキャプテンとしてカタールW杯に参戦中のジャカ。24日に行われた初戦のカメルーン代表戦ではフル出場し、1-0の勝利に貢献している。

この結果、第2戦のブラジル代表戦で勝利すれば決勝トーナメント進出が決まる可能性も。大会前のイギリス『サン』のインタビューでは、所属するアーセナルの同僚であるブラジル代表2選手、ガブリエウ・ジェズスとガブリエウ・マルティネッリの名前を挙げ、この一戦への闘志を燃やしていた。
「(2人とは)普段は冗談を言い合う仲さ。W杯の対戦相手にチームメイトがいるのは本当に素晴らしいこと。だけど、お互いにプロフェッショナルなわけだから、真剣に90分間向き合わないといけないね」

「2人には『もしスイスのGKからゴールを奪おうものなら、僕が君たちを粉砕する』と宣言したよ(笑) お互いに自分の国のために戦い、勝ちたいと強く願っている」
冗談まじりのやりとりを明かした一方、初戦のカメルーン以上に警戒すべき相手だとの認識も失っていないようだ。

「カメルーンよりブラジルの方を注意すべきなのは明白だ。ブラジル相手にボールロストすることは失点に直結し、大きな代償を払うこととなる。彼らはとてつもないクオリティを持つ集団だからね」

修復不可能…ファンの「純粋な憎悪」を理由にアーセナル退団を決意していたジャカ、忠誠誓うもファンとの関係は「割れたガラスのよう」

悪質タックル受け復帰絶望の元コートジボワール代表MFが現役引退へ…
