史上最多5度の優勝を誇り、今大会は20年ぶりに6度目の優勝を目指すブラジル。試合は前半こそ互いに譲らず、スコアも動かなかったが、62分にリシャルリソンのゴールで先制。73分にもリシャルリソンが豪快なバイシクルシュートを決めて、2-0でそのまま勝利。快調なスタートを切った。
この試合で2ゴールを決めたリシャルリソンだが、W杯に出場することすら危うい時期もあった。当時の心境を改めて語った。
「数週間前、僕は泣いていた。ここに来られるのかどうか、確信が持てなかった。検査の日は、僕の人生で最も長い日の1つだった。その日は休みだったことを覚えている」
「神様は僕の努力を見て、どれだけW杯に行きたかったかを見てくれていた。それだけだ。そして今はここにいる」
「主な目的は初戦で勝利することだった。これはとても重要だ。今は第2戦のことを考えて、よく休む。これが最初の試合であと6つ重要な試合がある」
ケガを乗り越え見事に初のW杯に出場。デビュー戦で2ゴールの活躍を見せたが、ブラジル代表として2ゴールを決めたのは2014年のネイマール以来。偉大な先輩に並んだ。
そのリシャルリソンは見事なバイシクルシュートも話題となっているが、さらなる意欲を示した。

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
