セルティックは17日、オーストラリア代表のレジェンドでもあるハリー・キューウェル氏(43)がファーストチームのコーチに就任することを発表した。
現役時代はリーズ・ユナイテッドで名声をあげ、その後はリバプール、ガラタサライ、メルボルン・ビクトリー、アル・ガラファ、メルボルン・シティでプレー。2004-05シーズンはチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)を制するなど活躍した。
またオーストラリア代表としても56試合で17ゴールを記録。“オズの魔法使い”との愛称で親しまれていたレジェンドだ。
引退後はワトフォードのU-23チームで監督を務めて指導者キャリアをスタート。クローリー・タウン、ノッツ・カウンティ、オールダム、バーネットとイングランドの下部リーグで監督業を務めていた。
同じオーストラリア人のアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督とのタッグを組むこととなったキューウェル氏。ポステコグルー監督は、今回の招へいにコメントしている。
「彼はセルティックに加わることを楽しみにしており、クラブの規模や我々の野望をよく理解している。チームに本当にポジティブな変化をもたらしてくれるだろう」

「最適解ではなかった」名古屋vs横浜FMの選手交代問題にJFA審判委員会が見解、ただ「協議規則の適用ミスではない」と説明
3日、日本サッカー協会(JFA)は今シーズン第2回目のレフェリーブリーフィングを開催した。 2024シーズンの明治安田Jリーグが開幕してから初めて開催されたブリーフィング。その中ではJリーグでの事象がいくつか取り上げられた。 最も関心を寄せられている事象の1つが、3月30日に行われた明治安田J1第5節の名古屋グランパスvs横浜F・マリノスの試合での出来事。78分に森島司のゴールが決まる前の判断だった。 ゴールが生まれる前、横浜FMは選手交代を用意。加藤蓮に代えて、畠中槙之輔を投入しようとしていた。しかし、そのタイミングで渡辺皓太が負傷しピッチに座り込むことになったため、横浜FM側が「一旦交代を待つこと」と求めたという。 その間に名古屋は米本拓司、永井謙佑に代えて、椎橋慧也、倍井謙の交代を準備し、スムーズに交代。横浜FMは3回目の交代のタイミングとなるため、渡辺に代えて山根陸を用意していたが認められず、横浜FMは10人の状況でその後のスローインの流れから森島が同点ゴールを決めていた。 この状況にはハリー・キューウェル監督ら横浜FM陣営が猛抗議。交代が認められなかったことに抗議もしており、SNSを通じて多くのサッカーファンが清水勇人主審の判定に疑問を呈していた。 この件について、元プロフェッショナルレフェリーで元国際審判員でもあったJFA審判マネジャー Jリーグ担当統括の佐藤隆治氏がコメント。「協議規則の適用ミスではない」とした。 佐藤氏はこのタイミングでの第4審について説明。「ドクターを入れるか、担架を入れるのかのコミュニケーションを主審と取っていた」とコメント。その間に、交代作業が進んでいったという。 佐藤氏は「一連の流れを見ていて、競技規則上の適用ミスということではない」と、主審や第4審が何か間違いを起こしたわけではないと説明。ただ、「色々なことを感じられたと思いますし、我々も分析をして、すぐに審判員と話はしました。結論としては、もっとやり方はあった。適用上のミスをしたわけではなく、レフェリーが再開を判断したということ。再開してはダメだったということではない」と説明。「最適解ではなかった」と結論づけた。 また第4審についても「選手交代は業務が多くなっている」とコメント。「まずは、3回目、何人目ということ」、「交代用紙」、「交代ボードを作る」、「メンバー表との照合」、「交代選手の用具チェック」と、やることが多々あるとした。 審判員の心情も代弁し「すごいプレッシャーを受けたと思う。名古屋側の選手の交代も準備できていた」とし、主審についても「レフェリーは早く再開しなければいけないという気持ちにもなったと思う」とコメント。ただ、「色々考えれば、やり方はもっとあったかなと思う」と、違う結果になっていてもよかっただろうとした。 すでに担当の審判員に加え、Jリーグの担当審判員とも話をしたとのこと。「レフェリーがリードして行くことが大事、受け入れられるレフェリングが大事ということを話させていただいた」と語った。 第4審のオーバータスクという質問が出た中で佐藤氏は「色々なやり方がある中で、Jリーグと話はしている」と語り、今後の運用も改善できるところはしていきたいとした。 <span class="paragraph-title">【動画】物議を醸した名古屋vs横浜FMの同点ゴールシーン。キューウェル監督も激怒</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <script>var video_id ="vJZIETklEn4";var video_start = 313;</script><div style="text-align:center;"><div id="player"></div></div><script src="https://web.ultra-soccer.jp/js/youtube_autoplay.js"></script> 2024.04.03 16:15 Wed

先々週は4万人近い浦和サポーターにひるむことなく、ガマン比べのような試合からアディショナルタイムのPKで難敵を下した町田。しかし先週末は、苦手とはいえ新潟に1-3の完敗。つくづくサッカーは何が起こるかわからないスポーツと言える。 そんな先週末は国立競技場での鹿島対横浜FM戦を取材した。両チーム、「オリジナル10」であり、なおかつ一度も降格したことのないチーム同士の対戦である。試合は横浜FMがアンデルソン・ロペスのゴールで先制する。昨シーズンの得点王は29日の柏戦でハットトリックを達成するなど、夏場に向けてエンジンがかかってきたようだ。 しかし後半からランコ・ポポヴィッチ監督は1トップにチャヴリッチを起用。それまで1トップを務めていた鈴木優磨をトップ下にコンバートした。鈴木もオールラウンダーのFWだが、1トップだとタイトなマークを受けてしまう。しかしトップ下だと自由に動けるため、“得点の匂う”ポジションに入り込むことができる。 後半12分の同点ゴールは佐野海舟のタテパスを前線にあがっていた濃野公人がヒールで流し、名古新太郎がクロス。チャヴリッチのヘッドは当たり損ねだったが、左にこぼれるところ鈴木が左足で冷静に決めた。 鹿島のシステム変更に加え、先週末はACL決勝第2戦のためUAEに遠征し、29日には柏戦を戦い中2日の横浜FMは時間の経過とともに運動量が落ちていく。ハリー・キューウェル監督は「疲れを言い訳にしたくない。選手はハードワークしてくれた」と称えたものの、早め早めの選手交代は連戦での疲労を考慮してのことだろう。 逆転弾は後半29分、知念慶の素早いドリブル突破から右サイドを駆け上がった濃野に展開すると、濃野は迷うことなく右足を振り抜く。これが戻って来た永戸勝也に当たってコースが変わり、GKの逆を突く形で決まった。知念といえば、川崎F時代はFWの印象が強かった。しかしランコ・ポポヴィッチ監督は彼をボランチにコンバート。そして「口を酸っぱくしてスペースがあったら自分で仕掛け、相手が食いついてきたら空いたスペースを使えと言ってきた。今日はそれができた」と満足そうに振り返っていた。 両チームともカウンターを得意とするチームだが、その原動力はDFラインの選手も含めイージーにクリアに逃げず、可能な限りパスを選択してカウンターにつなげていることだ。もちろんピンチにはシンプルにタッチにクリアして流れを切るなど、選手たちの共通認識にもブレはない。横浜FMは13位と出遅れているものの、ACLもひと段落し、今後は未消化の試合を含めてリーグ戦に集中できるだけに、やはり侮れない存在と言えるだろう。 このため両チーム合わせて10回の決定機が生まれるなど見応えのある伝統の「クラシコ」だった。しかしながら試合後の両監督はお互いのプレーと主審のジャッジに関してクレームをつける、後味の悪い一戦でもあった。勝ったポポヴィッチ監督は「お互いにリスペクトを、レフェリーにも忘れずにプレーすべきだ」とも語ったのがせめてもの救いだった。 2024.06.04 12:00 Tue

CL優勝チームがリーグ戦で出場権を得たらどうなる? 本戦出場で最も可能性が高いのはオリンピアコス

「知らなかったからビックリした」セルティック加入井手口陽介の上半身タトゥーに驚きの声
