セネガル代表FWサディオ・マネ(29)の代理人を務めるビョルン・ベゼマー氏がリバプールとの契約交渉について語った。イギリス『リバプール・エコー』が伝えている。

マネは2016年夏にサウサンプトンから加入すると、ユルゲン・クロップ監督から絶大な信頼を得て主軸に定着。公式戦通算254試合の出場で111ゴール45アシストの成績を残して、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)やプレミアリーグ優勝に大きく貢献し、個人としても2018-19シーズンにプレミアリーグ得点王を獲得した。

今季も公式戦36試合に出場して14ゴール2アシストをマークするなど、チームにとって欠かせない戦力となっているマネだが、一方でリバプールとの契約は2023年夏までとなっており、去就が注目されている。
セネガル『TFM Senegal』のインタビューに応じたベゼマー氏はマネの契約延長について、現在のところ、リバプール側との間に交渉はないと断言。今後についてはクラブ次第になるだろうと語った。

「我々はリバプールと多くの話をしている。だが、現在のところクラブと契約延長について話していない。(交渉については)シーズン終了を待っている状態だ」
また、ベゼマー氏はセネガル代表がエジプト代表を破り、アフリカ・ネーションズカップを制した後、リバプールがチームとして公に祝わなかった理由について言及。スケジュール的に都合がつかなかったことが理由だと明かし、チームメイトであるエジプト代表FWモハメド・サラーに遠慮したわけではないと語った。

「サディオはチームに戻ってきたとき、ドレッシングルームで良い歓迎を受けたよ。でも、すぐレスター・シティとの試合があり、タイミングが合わなかった。クラブは何かしたかったようだが、アウェイの試合が2つもあったからね。セレモニーは2週間後になってしまうこともあり、サディオはシーズンの残りに集中するよう頼んだんだ」

「モー(モハメド・サラー)のことはあまり関係なかったと思う。クラブではなく、100%サディオの決断だった」

2人のマク・アリスターがELで実現した兄弟対決を振り返る、兄「苦しんだのは弟のせい」弟「家族にとって特別なもの」
