元ドイツ代表MFマリンが現役引退へ…2010年南アフリカW杯に出場

元ドイツ代表のMFマルコ・マリン(33)が現役生活に別れを告げるようだ。セルビア『Danas』が報じた。

ボスニア・ヘルツェゴビナで生まれたマリンは、フランクフルトやボルシアMGの下部組織で育ち、そのままボルシアMGのファーストチームへ昇格。ブレーメンで飛躍すると、2012年にチェルシーへと完全移籍する。

チェルシーではほとんどブレー機会を得ることができなかったマリンだが、セビージャ、フィオレンティーナ、アンデルレヒト、トラブゾンスポルへとレンタル移籍を経験。その後は、オリンピアコス、ツルヴェナ・ズヴェズダ、アル・アハリ、アル・ラーイドでプレー。2021年9月にハンガリーのフェレンツヴァーロシュへと完全移籍した。

フェレンツヴァーロシュでは、リーグ戦で13試合に出場し1ゴール1アシストを記録しているマリンだが、引退を決意したという。

マリンは、ハンガリー代表とフレンドリーマッチで対戦するセルビア代表チームが宿泊するホテルを訪問したとのこと。かつてツルヴェナ・ズヴェズダでプレーしていたこともあり親交のある選手がいた。

その際にマリンは「もう、十分やった。僕たちは今、新たな挑戦に向かっている。ケガが多かった」と語ったとのこと。引退を示唆したとされている。

ドイツ代表としても16試合に出場し1ゴール。2010年の南アフリカ・ワールドカップに出場した経験もある。
