W杯行き誓うジョタ、大一番控えトルコを警戒「簡単な相手ではない」

ポルトガル代表のFWジオゴ・ジョタがトルコ代表戦に向け気負わずとも必勝を期した。『UEFA.com』がコメントを伝えている。

カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選グループAを接戦の末2位で通過したポルトガル。プレーオフ(PO)準決勝は、グループGの初戦でオランダ代表を4-2で破り、最終的に2位通過となったトルコとの大一番となった。

この屈強な相手との対戦を前に会見に出席したジョタは、トルコが楽に勝てる相手ではないと言及。そのなかでもW杯への出場に前進するべく、ポルトガルの力を証明して決勝戦に駒を進めると誓った。

「トルコは簡単な相手ではないけど、ポルトガルは勝つために必要なものをすべて持っているよ。僕らはチャンスを最大限活かすために効率的なプレーが必要だし、ワールドカップに出場するための良いスピリットを維持する必要がある。ゴールを決めることも大切だけど、相手にチャンスを与えないことや来たチャンスを確実にものにすることも重要だよ」

「責任を持ってこの試合に臨まなくてはならないけど、あまり大げさに考える必要はないと思うよ。サッカーの試合だし、勝てると信じているし、決勝に行くためのクオリティだって持っているんだ。僕らはW杯に出場することだけを考えているし、それ以外のことは考えていない」

「さっきも言ったけど、トルコは簡単な相手じゃない。オランダに次ぐ2位でPOに来たし、グループステージではオランダに勝っている。決勝戦のようなものになるだろうけど、ポルトガルがトルコより強いというところをピッチで証明しなくちゃいけないんだ」

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
