ポルトガルサッカー連盟(FPF)は21日、GKアンソニー・ロペス(リヨン)の離脱と、GKジョゼ・サ(ウォルバーハンプトン)の追加招集を発表した。

今月末に行われるカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選・プレーオフに臨むポルトガル。24日にトルコ代表と対戦し、勝てばイタリアvs北マケドニアの勝者と29日にW杯本戦行きのチケットを懸けて決勝戦を行う。

しかし、ポルトガル代表では離脱者が続出中。MFルベン・ネヴェス(ウォルバーハンプトン)が招集直前に負ったヒザのケガで離脱が発表されると、同日さらに守備の要であるDFペペ(ポルト)が新型コロナウイルス感染により、チームを離れることになった。

そして、アンソニー・ロペスもチームのメディカル班からNGサインが下され、残念ながら離脱することになった。

代役となるジョゼ・サは昨夏にオリンピアコスからウルブスに移籍し、新守護神としてここまでプレミアリーグ30試合に出場中。ポルトガル代表は招集経験はあるものの、デビューには至っていない。

C・ロナウド「引退する。100%だ」、カタールW杯と引退について言及「40歳で終わりたい」
