元フランス代表FWのニコラ・アネルカ氏がパリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)のアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシとマンチェスター・ユナイテッドのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドに疑問を投げた。

近年のフットボール界でトップに君臨してきたメッシとC・ロナウド。今季を迎えるにあたり、それぞれ異なる理由があるにせよ、移籍を決断した。前者はPSG、後者は古巣ユナイテッド。だが、チームの状況もあるにしろ、これまでと比べると、どこかインパクトを欠く。

このままフェードアウトしていっても、歴史に名を刻む選手に変わりない両選手だが、現役時代に数々のクラブを渡り歩き、晩年を中国やインドでも過ごしたアネルカ氏はフランス『RMC Sport』でもっと賢く移籍先を選ぶべきだったと見解を示した。
「彼らのキャリアは終わった。彼らはこの15年間で成し遂げた数々に満足すべきだと思う。それぞれ他の選手の上を行く存在だったが、今や当然ながらスローダウンした」

「ロナウドよりもメッシに驚かされたよ。メッシはフランスでやれると思ったし、ロナウドはもっと苦戦を予想した。プレミアリーグは世界で最も過酷なリーグだからだ」
「賢くなかったね。トップのままで終わるためには正しい決断が必要で、もっと複雑じゃない挑戦を考えるべきだった。批判を嫌って、32、33、34歳で辞める選手もいる」

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

最低でも770万円!C・ロナウドが“世界一高いタワー”をジャックしてジョルジーナの誕生日をド派手にお祝い
