3位エクアドルと首位ブラジルという上位対決としても注目を浴びた同試合。すでに本戦出場を決めているブラジルが開始6分にMFカゼミロのゴールで先制する展開となる。
だが、試合はここからまさかの方向へ向かう。15分にエクアドルGKアレクサンデル・ドミンゲスが、飛び出してきたブラジルFWマテウス・クーニャに足裏キックを見舞ってしまい一発退場となると、その5分後にブラジルもDFエメルソンが2枚目のイエローカードを受けて退場に。開始20分で両チームとも10人となってしまった。
さらに、26分にエクアドルのカウンターを防ぐべく、ブラジルGKアリソン・ベッカーがペナルティエリアを飛び出してボールをクリアしたところ、その蹴り上げた足が相手FWエネル・バレンシアの顔面に入り、レッドカードが提示された。

リバプールGKアリソンの父、自身で所有するダムにて遺体で発見
リバプールの守護神を務めるブラジル代表GKアリソン・ベッカーの父が遺体で見つかった。ブラジル『グローボ』が伝えた。 アリソンと、兄弟でフルミネンセの守護神であるGKムリエル・ベッカーの父であるホセ・アゴスティーニョ・ベッカーさんは57歳で他界することとなった。 『グローボ』によると、ホセ・アゴスティーニョ・ベッカーさんはブラジルのポルトアレグレから320kmほど離れたリオグランデ・ド・スル州カンパーニャのダムで24日の12時ごろに行方が分からなくなったとのことだ。 このダムはベッカー家が所有するものであり、自身の敷地内で発見された形となった。 ラブラス・ド・スル消防署によると、24日の22時50分ごろ、敷地の従業員と友人によって遺体が発見されたことを確認したとのことだ。 なお、遺体が発見された時は警察も現場におり、消防隊はダムに到着したときに遺体が見つかったことを伝えられたという。 ムリエルが所属するフルミネンセはこの訃報を受け「フルミネンセは、GKのムリエルとアリソンの父である、ホセ・アゴスティーニョ・ベッカーの死をとても残念に思います。仲間、家族にご多幸をお祈り申し上げます」と声明を発表していた。 2021.02.25 14:58 Thu

過去に脳の手術も…ローマなどでプレーした元ブラジル代表DFレアンドロ・カスタンが35歳で現役引退

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

“編み込み”ヘアーに挑戦したネイマール、早くも再イメチェンで今度は“オシャレ坊主”に
