重傷を負ったリバプールのU-21イングランド代表MFハーヴェイ・エリオットだが、すでにリハビリに取り組んでいるようだ。イギリス『デイリー・メール』が報じている。エリオットは9月12日に行われたプレミアリーグ第4節のリーズ・ユナイテッド戦に先発出場。しかし、試合中にリーズのDFパスカル・ストライクのタックルを受け、左足首があらぬ方向へ曲がってしまった。その後、左足首の骨折脱臼と診断され、骨折と損傷したじん帯を修復するための手術を受けることに。3日後の15日には、手術は無事に成功したと報じられていた。
クラブドクターのジム・モクソン氏は「(復帰までの)具体的な期間を設定し、彼にプレッシャーをかけるつもりはない」と語っていたが、本人はすでに気合十分のようだ。
エリオットは、リハビリの一環としてエアロバイクを漕ぐ様子を自身のインスタグラムに公開。「一歩ずつ、一日ずつ、ね」とのキャプションも添えられている。
すでに復活への第一歩を踏み出したエリオット。ただ、ケガの程度や長引きやすい足首の負傷だけに焦らずに取り組んで欲しいところだ。

2人のマク・アリスターがELで実現した兄弟対決を振り返る、兄「苦しんだのは弟のせい」弟「家族にとって特別なもの」
