アル・サッドのチャビ・エルナンデス監督が、スペイン代表は批判を受け入れるべきとの見解を示している。

ユーロ2020におけるスペイン代表は、グループステージから苦戦をし、最終節のスウェーデン代表戦で辛くも決勝トーナメント進出を果たした。また、ラウンド16のクロアチア代表戦でも、試合終了間際に2点のリードを失いまさかの延長戦を強いられることに。

なんとかベスト8へ勝ち進んだものの、チームの戦いぶりには批判が集中。現役時代に二度のユーロ優勝を経験したチャビ氏は、そもそもスペイン代表は批判に晒されやすい状態にあるとコメント。加えて、レアル・マドリーの選手が1人もいないことが懐疑的な意見の増加の原因だと分析している。

「スペインを取り巻く状況は非常に危機的だ。報道機関とチームの間のつながりが希薄であるため、今彼らの身に起こっていることは普通のことだと思う」

「そのため、スペインでトロフィーを獲得するのは非常に困難だが、我々はそれを成し遂げた」

「自分に対して正直ではなかった」…元バルサのデストがチャビ前監督の不誠実な対応を批判

「99%の希望を失った」スペインの名医がガビの負傷に言及「劇的な状況になってしまう」、原因は「選手の試合数」

「心の中で一緒に」亡き娘の13歳の誕生日… スペイン代表指揮官が思いを馳せる

スペイン代表のルイス・エンリケ監督が、3年前に他界した天国の娘に思いを馳せた。スペイン『ムンド・デポルティボ』が伝えている。カタールW杯でスペイン代表を率い、2010年の南アフリカ大会以来となる優勝を目指すL・エンリケ監督。28日に行われたグループ第2戦のドイツ代表戦は1-1のドローとなり、現時点で1勝1分の首位に。来月2日の日本代表戦は決勝トーナメント進出がかかる大事な一戦となる。そんな同監督だが、2018年7月のスペイン代表指揮官就任後、骨肉腫を患っていた娘のシャナちゃんの看病のために翌年6月に一度辞任。シャナちゃんはおよそ5ヶ月の闘病の末、同年8月に9歳の若さで亡くなった。その3ヶ月後には指揮官に復帰し、欧州予選を勝ち抜いてカタールの地へと辿り着いたが、ドイツ戦が行われた11月27日(現地時間)はシャナちゃんの誕生日。試合後のインタビューでは、この日13歳になるはずだった天国の娘に思いを馳せている。「今日は間違いなく、私と家族にとって特別な日だった。私たち家族はもうシャナに会えないが、心の中ではいつも一緒にいる」「彼女の笑顔を思い出したり、日常で起こるささいな出来事に『彼女ならどうリアクションするだろう?』などと考えてしまう。きっと人生とはそういうもの。そのどれもが美しく、今では感情をコントロールすることもできるようになっているよ」 2022.11.28 13:52 Mon
