アストン・ビラ退団が決まっているなでしこジャパンFW岩渕真奈のゴラッソが、年間ベストゴールにノミネートされた。

チェルシーの2季連続優勝で幕を閉じたFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)では、現在シーズン終了後のアウォーズに向けた各部門の投票が行われている。その中で年間ベストゴール部門に岩渕のゴールがノミネートされた。

2月6日に行われたトッテナム戦、0-0で迎えた12分にこぼれ球を拾った岩渕がボックス手前右から右足を振り抜くと、ボールは美しいドライブ軌道を描いてゴールイン。目を見張るほどの一撃には、実況も興奮して「アメージング!」「ファビュラス!」などと連呼するほどだ。

岩渕自身にとっても加入後初勝利につながったこの一発。今季のアストン・ビラは3勝しか挙げられておらず、そのうち1つがこのスーパーゴールによってもたらされた。11位とギリギリで残留を決めたチームにとって、振り返ってみればこの1勝は非常に大きな価値があったと言えるだろう。

すでにクラブ公式サイトでは退団が発表されている岩渕だが、短い期間の中でもインパクトを残す存在となった。

なお、岩渕の他にはアーセナルのオランダ女子代表FWフィフィアネ・ミーデマやチェルシーのドイツ女子代表MFメラニー・ロイポルツのゴールなどがノミネートされている。
