美人ストライカーが新型コロナウイルス感染を報告「感染を知って2020年を締めくくりました」

アメリカ女子代表のFWアレックス・モーガン(31)が、新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)に感染していたようだ。

アメリカ女子代表のエースとして過去3回のワールドカップに出場しているモーガンは、2020年9月にナショナル・ウーマンズ・サッカーリーグ(NWSL)のオーランド・プライドからトッテナムに加入していた。

FA女子スーパーリーグ(FA WSL)では5試合に出場し、2ゴールを記録。契約には今年5月末までの延長オプションが付いていたものの、2020年限りで退団してアメリカに帰国し、オーランド・プライドに復帰することが発表されていた。

そのモーガンだが、年末に新型コロナウイルスに感染していたとのこと。自身のツイッター(@alexmorgan13)で報告した。

「残念なことに、私と家族は休暇中にカリフォルニアでCOVID-19に感染したことを知り、2020年を締めくくりました」

「ただ、私たちはみんな元気で、回復しています。隔離が完了した後は、USサッカーのプレー復帰ガイドラインに従います」

「体は完璧に回復し、すぐにでもチームメイトと一緒にフィールドに戻ることができます」
